This game is how old!?

The Archimedes. Fabulous machine, way ahead of it's time and massively costly compared to the emerging Amiga and ST.

Mercenary (and Second City, also Damocles and Mercenary III on Amiga) C64 from 1985, once I start I'll play for days and I must have played through 30 odd times in my life :o

Driller (freescape) on the spectrum was fantastic. Followed up with Castle Master.

Also massively enjoyed the Mercenary trilogy and other games of that type. eg. Cybercon III.

BOOP.... BOOP.... BOOP.... BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOP!

Nope, can't top that.

To be fair the main game I play is 15 years old though (Quakeworld), I suspect most people who regularly play older games don't actually have them as their #1 played game any more.

Whats so good about jedi knight? Ive been hearing that there is still an active community around this - feel free to do a long post, I am genuinely curious!

I played Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy religiously. I was pretty good for the most part (was quite competitive), and the community was always a laugh, especially if you had a few mates or something to do matches and things with.

Haven't been on it either for a few years, though, but I have a lot of good memories from both games (Jedi Academy more so).

Chuckie Egg

god i remember that game

Donkey Kong (1981), Bubble Bobble (1986), Dungeon Master (1987), Blood Money (1989) and before I forget (again)...The Eidolon (1985) - anyone ever play this?

Love going back to those games from my youth.

2 of my all time favourites :)

tried playing a few oldies on an emulator, a few weeks back.
tbh i didn't like it, looked horrible.

some games are best left in the past ;)

Anyone remember playing this? I played it in primary school on the computers our school had won (one per classroom, we were so leet...)

YES! We had this at school, we had Archimedes computers. <3

Little Big Adventure. Fun gameplay, great music and graphics well ahead of its time.

^BUY IT, NOW!

Thanks! I loved LBA2 and I just found the CD amongst some stuff I'd packed away. I'm not holding out much hope of it working on Win7 but you never know...
