hello folk's I have been using 3 wd sn850x nvme drives in external enclosures for about 6 months problem free. I use them on my main pc (win 11 all updated)
and my asus ROG strix laptop. yesterday all 3 stopped showing up on the main pc....sometimes there's an icon with a drive letter but nothing in device manager or storage. Mainly nothing shows at all, I have tried removing the drive from the enclosure and connecting just the enclosure (a lot of people say that worked for them when they put the drive back in and re booted) nothing works. I reset the pc using a backup from 2 months ago ...still not working. All 3 drives work perfectly on the laptop and my sons old laptop so I know its not the drives at fault.......any help at this time is gratefully accepted.....cheers

When connected do the drives appear under disk management and do they have a drive letter assigned to them?

Update the firmware on the drives on a machine that sees them, they have known issues and need firmware updates that can only be done in a nvme slot on a laptop or desktop as you can not update via a USB enclosure.

Thanks for the suggestions guy's. I bought another drive reader...not an enclosure but a one that you stand the drives upright in....all 3 drives work perfect on the pc that couldn't see them....so its the enclosures thats the promlem
