They replied saying it needed a 5* review, so i replied saying i didn't believe it was worth 5*'s and to leave it.

Just had a reply saying they'll now issue me a further £15 to change it to a 5* review, so i'd get £30 in total refunded.

The unit itself is fine and doing what i want, the only real reason i was knocking it down was because it's a bit noisy.

I had something similar this week, an offer of £10 worth of free products from a company I’d previously bought something from in exchange for good reviews.

Heard some places just randomly ship people stuff hoping they will get good reviews.

Haha that's not a bad plan. Then change the review to state it was bought!

The weird thing i don't get is they say they issue as a gift card rather than a refund.

Surely the maths don't work. They're paying Amazon a commission based on a sale of £40, then they give me a £30 gift card. I don't get where the profit is. For me i'd rather keep that £30 and "only" get a 3 star review!

Start on Monday until the start of next year. Tech/customer support for a "multimedia box that plugs into your TV that is growing quickly".

On the search still for perm but this will definitely enhance my CV.

What a drop from senior management in online fashion retail but it's income.

One of our directors has been off with COVID which took two senior staff out which left just me, we had our best month last month but I'm not only Project Managing everything, but dealing with HR, Sales, Marketing & Invoicing.

But I've had one staff member drop early this week and he was working with someone in fixed partnering so that person has been shelved so I'm down a team and then I've had another guy who was on a time critical WAN install today that needs to be up ASAP, but I literally have no resource for it. So I've sent a pretty pissy text message to the customer PM to say that effectively I found out at 8PM last night I'm doing what I can do and what more can I do.

But my diary is stacked for the next 6 weeks and everything is falling behind.

Oh and one of my colleagues (purposefully vague) told me that I was wrong about isolating advice despite what the Gov website says and I should ring 119... Wish I ******* had time to but I disagree I can't risk increasing transmission.
 
@Hyburnate - True re CV. Everything out the window!

Urgh that sounds like a nightmare...you are but one person. Are you in a position to reach out to an agency or something to get a temp in or something? Obviously may not be ideal but could be something? Especially if you are specific to the agency?

May be a faff for the first week or so but long run would help.

COVID comment - everyone is an expert nowadays!
