Got in a slight argument with some idiot in a Facebook group, and their big comeback was "you look like Jack Black and Wolverine had a child."

How am I supposed to take that as anything other than a compliment? :p

I said "thankyou" and then they got really angry. :D
For real. That's a huge compliment :D

Was their name Ozzy by any chance? ;)

I don't think so!

People tell me I look like Jack Black so often what it is actually ridiculous...

I'd say 1/2 of my trips to the bar involve some random person exclaiming that I look "exactly like" Jack Black... It also doesn't help that my personality is quite eccentric like Jacks is...

Still doesn't get me laid though. :( :p

I know this is an old post but yes!

Taron is fantastic, definitely the best ride in Phantasialand, hell the whole park beat Europa for me!
A fellow theme park enthusiast emerges!

Taron was very good and definitely the best coaster out of all of those at PL and EP but EP is definitely the better park in my view... so many things to do and so many cute, adorable rides.

Coaster of the trip was Lech Coaster in Poland - man, that was just awesome  Best coaster in Germany that I went on was Expedition GeForce.

I was supposed to be at Cedar Point!! :(

I will ride Steel Vengeance one day.....

I just couldn't gel with EP properly, seeing their "Spaceship Earth" and all the countries represented just made me think of Epcot!

Oh I really like the look of that coaster, no visit to Energylandia? That park seems to be a coaster counters dream :p

Rona's killed two of my trips this year, one would have had me go on expedition geforce (11 parks in Belgium, Netherlands and Germany). And then we've just had our trip to California for next month cancelled too :( I'll get on another RMC one day!

That sucks about Cedar Point, truly a bucket list park for me, re-planned anything?

Yes, I went to Energylandia

I’ve posted a few coaster posts earlier in this thread to see if anyone would be interested, and with no response I didn’t bother sharing any further, but since you have taken an interest, here’s my blog of the trip, complete with some GoPro POVs - I make an embarrassing racket on EGF - the ejector was just too much :o :D

^ That’s a fun forum btw... I think you’d like it. If you aren’t already a member!

As for Cedar Point, definitely. It was to be the climax of our honeymoon epic coaster trip:

Holiday World
Kentucky Kingdom
Kings Island
Dollywood
Carowinds
Busch Gardens Williamsburg
Kings Dominion
Six Flags Great Adventure
HersheyPark
Kennywood
Cedar Point

Would have been absolutely god-like... if not extremely over the top. Probably would have walked on Millenium Force at the end and come off like ‘meh’ :p

Looking to do it in 2021.. albeit scaled back to be more sensible. Think it should be split up into two trips really.

Which RMC have you been on, Untamed? Only Zadra for me :)

Got halfway through watching Saving Private Ryan on Blu-ray and my PS4 decided it doesn’t want to play Blu-rays anymore. FML.

Just read the lot, good read! Shame to hear about your experience in Phantasialand, I had a similar experience with staff in EP sadly.

Ejector air certainly can trigger people haha

Not a member of Coasterforce but have lurked for years, once my european trip got cancelled I stayed away from the place :(

Wow 11 parks!? How long a trip was it supposed to be? That would be very intense :p I was looking at doing the south east parks in one trip and then a trip for the north east parks, while I'd love nothing but parks, the wife was wanting to do some shopping/sightseeing at some point!

Oh Zadra looks really fantastic, nice to know both parks are so accessible for us from the airport. We did a trip to Grona Lund, Kolmarden and Liseberg last year so managed to go on Wildfire 10 times :o

Was supposed to have been on Untamed by now :(

Was trying to eat a bit healthier now I'm not home alone anymore. And then last night Mum exclaimed that she wanted pizza. I have NEVER in my life witnessed this woman order pizza or even talk about ordering pizza, but she ordered two XXL pizzas which were shared between the three of us, and now I feel like death. :p

I haven't been able to sleep yet!

Well, it’s 2 weeks today since my wife had our first child by c-section. We named her Anna, and at 10lb 2oz, she’s an absolute unit. Mother and baby are both doing well, which is just as well really, seeing as I’m still stuck on the boat, and likely to be until mid-October at least if I’m lucky, even though I’ve already been here 3 months.

Gonna be weird having a baby in the house when I come home.

Congrats!

(goodbye to sleep!)

Good to hear! Although at this rate she'll have moved out.

@The Funktopus congrats :)

Shopping for cheap used sofas on eBay to grab as I'll be moving out soon. Why do people think listing a sofa without specific location beyond "London" and no dimensions, will ever sell? Well more than half the listings have neither of those bits of information.

Someone must have known I was going to take my car to WBAC at the weekend and keyed it, that's £500 off the value....

ffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff

Congrats mate!! :)

King size bed, where does the cat want to sleep?

On my foot, apparently  i've already had to put an old pillow next to mine for my other cat to sleep on (taking the mummys boy title to the next level :o:p) now to try and find a semi decent position to lay in lol
