I definitely don't miss going into the office and I'm back on part time furlough but even then I am finding I'm bored on my working days. There is plenty to do currently but will see what happens this week as to whether our furlough gets extended/changed. Most of our business is on hold again so makes sense to.

I keep telling myself I'll be productive on my days off but it's so cold that I find myself just curling up on the sofa :o

My wifes similar, she left her job just after Christmas as it was causing too much stress due to the management being useless resulting in around 5 key staff leaving (out of a total of 15!)

She's been for a few walks but is generally getting bored watching tv all the time.

She's started using Duolingo for short periods a day to attempt to learn Spanish. Could be an option?

It's not necessarily that I'm bored of tv it's just that it's so cold lately I feel unmotivated to do the plenty of things I could do lol.

When I'm working is when I get bored and want to do other stuff, particularly as I'm colder sat at a desk all day lol. I'm on furlough today and tomorrow and just briefly checked some messages a colleague has sent (I know I should technically ignore them). we've been working on a shared spreadsheet that we had to check and add details to. I was dealing with it the way the data had been produced and displayed in excel but she sorted it a different way and added data so when it was my turn again I sorted it back how it was to carry on. Because she sorted it differently it re sorted it in a different order so of course I was finding possible differences and added notes and of course she's now criticising all the notes I've left saying well this isn't a query etc when there's stuff I found of hers that was queried but had a resolution

Sadly even working from home I don't escape her attitude of "I'm always right"

Flexy furlough today, sat on a granite topped hill drinking tea and just finished a vegan raspberry brownie, should walk to rough tor and brown willy but I did a 16 mile hard walk to port issac on Saturday, took it out of me.
Ordered some wood for a project if same situation next week, could be worse places to be stuck

Had someone try my front door this evening. And by try I mean making a concerted effort to pick the lock or something not a simple turn of the handle to see if it was unlocked. Wasn't exactly quiet about it either I heard went up to the door and in my most assertive manly voice I could manage said loudly "excuse me what the hell do you think you're doing?"

No response just slinked away without a sound didn't get a look at him through the spyhole either. Figured it was an opportunist after he'd gone went out to make sure both doors to the building were properly shut (they weren't) so probably found his way in that way. Quite unnerving.

What a strange thing to try. It's one thing an opportunist turning handles as you say but a very different thing to come prepared with lock picks. You sure it wasn't someone who's had a few too many drinks getting lost in the building and thinking it's their own front door?

Back in the days when you were allowed people over we had it happen once or twice where someone would go out on the shared roof for a smoke then forget the way back in and try all the flat doors till the found the right one. Annoying sure but ultimately harmless, hopefully it's the same in your case.

Have felt a bit meh today. Not quite a "down" day as i'd call it but definitely "meh" :/

Planned to have an earlier night tonight but that just didn't happen as I got stuck into watching tv. I actually felt like watching something mopey just so I could cry it out (whatever 'it' is lol) but couldn't decide :o

Ah chocolate, I miss you on days like today :D

Oh and yep definitely furloughed in Feb with pay dropping to 90% for furloughed hours

Spent 2.5x as much as I usually do on some rum and coke to celebrate. It is nicer, but not 2.5x nicer. :p

Also bought the Guacamole Doritos which have never been on offer and have always been £2.50 so I ignored them up until now... Save your money, they are awful. Like salted cardboard with vague Guacamole taste.

But then again I think Doritos are pretty crap in general. These are far, far worse than the staple ones like cool original and chilli heatwave.
