Randomly helping out with a little IT issue for a lecture at work for a friend I haven't really seen properly in years. As the presentation is due to start, I clock Diane Morgan sat at the back of the lecture (microbiomes and neurodegeneration).

Ended up talking to her at the end. Really friendly and lovely, brightened our day :).

Not this moment but I spent pretty much all of yesterday lying down in a dark room after suffering a migraine and a few hours of vertigo... really unpleasant. Wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.

Big 'kill me now' feelings like I'd never feel well again - still can't type properly right now. My balance and hand eye co-ordination was all over the shop.

Have come into the office for a meeting with my CFO, and realised on the drive in that i've not brushed my teeth/showered. Working from home means i don't usually brush my teeth till around 11am after breakfast, and it's thrown me off :(

Got my colonoscopy this coming Wednesday. Expecting to be the following week earliest. Though it’s at a hospital 23 miles away - my third different hospital for the 4th colonoscopy (had 3 in 6.5 weeks last year). Parents are taking me - not allowed to drive home as sedated.

Interesting to see the PDFs online from various NHS trusts’ low residue diets. Some allow tinned fruit like peaches, some allow smooth peanut butter, some allow one glass of fruit juice. University of Leicester NHS trust allows none of this. Got some veg that needs using up - tonight and tomorrow.

I have no idea why each trust allows/doesn’t allow certain foods. When it’s the same procedure

It's going to happen.

Everyone's getting broken fingers in my club- I think we average about one a week.

Yeah it does, not surprising considering it's a grappling martial art. But man how the pros do it day in day out. Got a bit of cauliflower ear but meh. This was following a striking session though so not surprised:D

I do tape up my fingers though it really helps to mitigate the thrashing they get.

We mainly get sprains and strains rather than breaks.

My throat is feeling slightly rough and it's slowly and steadily getting worse, great.

My brother and i were invited to a birthday party at a pub last friday, i declined as i knew someone going had a cold/flu/covid, but my brother went. He came down with something monday morning and he's kept away from my house since but was round all sunday when he had no symptoms but would still have been infectious. He has a distasteful habit, i think it's a nervous tic (tourettes?) of open mouthed very excessive loud coughing. He must have spread germs as i'm starting to feel rough now.

So me avoiding the party didn't stop me getting ill, thanks bruv

I feel pretty rotten, i have the flu or covid, i've had the flu many times and this feels a bit different and more intense, so i wonder if it's covid?

The **** is going on with Youtube? I always have my history switched off, but now you can't see anything unless you turn it on. I have it off because the front page is not populated with videos "tailored to you", it's a bunch of random crap that I have zero interest in or videos I've already watched.

What the **** is wrong with the idiots at Google, why do they always pull **** like this?

That's really weird - do you have premium?

I had a similar message but it just said it was a reminder I had search history off, and I could click passed it/continue on.
