Since when did train tickets get so expensive... £100 for two of us return, I'll be driving my 2002 BMW to London then...

Been like that for years. Trick is to keep an eye on prices in advance though as cheap tickets do come up.

Train prices are ridiculous these days. Last year they cancelled trains and said nothing was going out of Kings Cross or St Pancras so rearranged it so the route avoided london then the next day they reinstated them at £150 one way, up from wound £50

TFI Friday
Managed to find a reasonably priced place to stay next week to check out areas to move to and my mums agreed to look after the cats. Taking my 9 year old niece with me which should be fun :D

Sigh. And now my mum is trying to guilt trip me for planning to move  Nice end to a naff week

They need to do a price cap for trains like they have buses. If someone is doing a train journey instead of taking the car, they are doing the country a favour. I propose a maximum price of £30 a day.

I live in the middle of 2 train lines to London. One is £21.20 for a peak time return, the other is £36.50. When taking the more expensive one, I feel robbed.

I found out it’s because there’s something sports related on at Wembley, in other news there’s a rusty 3 series in Oakwood car park, but it’s okay because my 02 reg car is ULEZ compliant

Bjj is great.

"Can we pie and chips now?"
You can see the pub!

A pub with a ghoulish past, the Skirrid is often linked with ghost stories and creepy over-night stays.

But it is also said to date back around 900 years, with links with Shakespeare and Owain Glyndwr.

According to popular conception, the inn opened around the year 1110 but some claim this has been exhaggerated. There are many dubious claims from the inn, most of which can neither be verified as true or false.
