The day after my Nanan dying, my colleague lost her mum.

On Tuesday we were so short staffed. One colleague had to change her hours to the hours that the grieving colleague was scheduled to do.

One customer was moaning to me about having to wait. I said that I have lost my grandmother and another lost her mother the following day. She replied “so what” in a horrible tone. said you are totally disrespectful and unsympathetic. This was on the way leaving work.

If she complained about her treatment - she is a horrible human being.

If my colleague and myself have the funerals on the same day- it wouldn’t affect my colleague as my Nanan’s funeral is on a day she doesn’t work.

Customers need to understand that we are human

I’ve said it before but Who Wants To Be A Millionaire questions are so easy these days.

That said Clarkson thought Gosforth was in Leeds (!?!) rather than Newcastle but still correctly guessed that’s where the first Greggs was (£64k question!!!).
There’s Garforth a small town east of Leeds.

Can understand Jezza there

Off on a snow holiday next week. Supposed to be flying out on Friday. Both the trains in Germany and the ground staff for Lufthansa (who we are flying with) are going on strike. FFS.

Think might be gone by tomorrow.

What was weird.. I saw people walking DOWN with skis!

Weird..there are quite a few people that use that mountain to ski down when it snows and snowboard. Although not being official ski mounting I't will mainly be off piste but hear it's not bad. Only downside is no ski lift obvs :)

I need to buy some new boots though. I got skis and poles..

I was waiting for friends to arrange going up for a walk this uear hut no one's arranged.yet..

Last Feb we done a sunrise walk to the top .it was freezing and I fell over and twisted my ankle 80 meters after walking over the car park foot bridge.. my ankle was really hurting that morning getting to the top

Not a bad sunrise though :)

Lush! I've never done sunrise. Would need motivation (ie a group) to get up there. Easier in winter though.
I would not want to go up that 2 mile stretch with a twisted ankle. It's relentlessly up all the way to the top of corn-ddu! Only that bit between the 2 peaks is flat!

Crazy it's only 45 mins from home!

Totally agree. It’s been dumbed down quite severely.

The lady who won £125k, I got to £125k without needing a single lifeline. Like her, I was stumped on the Indian state question. But with 4 lifelines left I’d expect to get to £500k.

Yeah, I didn't know that one. Had guessed it was one of A or C but didn't know for sure.

Well, it sounds similar but he's from Yorkshire so I would have expected him to know Greggs wasn't founded there too. :)

Managed to book alternative flights, at great expense. And it was €50 cheaper if we booked a return flight we won't use than if we just booked the flights out - this is everything that is wrong with the world.

Yet again, had to fight a massive wasp off for control of the house. It's far too early for these battles. This one was an aggressive one too.

Kudos to a few retailers (online and physical) who sent emails to say would you like to opt out of Mother’s Day related emails last month.

I opted out of them because that’s fewer crap in my inbox. I find the whole Mother’s Day a complete waste as was Mothering Sunday is to honour your mothering church, not your mother!

Some people go overboard with the stuff they buy for their mothers. I remember getting an email from a retailer saying ‘ideal Mother’s Day gifts’ one of them was a £800 iPad! My mum would be furious if I spent a hundredth of that on her.

Since my Nanan died I don’t feel like to celebrate Mother’s Day.

I hate working the day before MD as it’s hell, probably the third worst Saturday in the year after Saturday before Christmas and Easter Saturday. As people go mad (and moan about the cheapest Easter eggs are all sold out )on the latter, as we are closed on Easter Sunday. Yet the convenience shops (Tesco Express, Sainsbury’s Locals, Spar, smaller Co-ops etc) are open. Seen queues to the tiny 8 space car parks on ESu as people can’t cope!

Just had a missed delivery by DPD... with a picture of my neighbours house... immediately to the left of the photo is a big sign showing plainly where my house is... if he is that blind shouldn't be driving a van... incompetent half-wit.
