Not sure about the lan issue. For what it's worth...it happened for my Z77 maximus gene as well (back in the day)

To be honest, it's something I can live with! Although this whole experience has made me come to terms with needing to start thinking about that new build! Guess it's time to start watching tech YouTube again!
