Tribewanted is a sustainable tourism and social enterprise which began on Vorovoro Island in Fiji in 2006. In 2010 Tribewanted began operating its second project at John Obey in Sierra Leone.
Tribewanted describes its mission as 'to build sustainable communities in amazing places that benefit locals and visiting members; inspiring positive change within and far beyond the village.'[1]
Both projects have received extensive media coverage[4], including a five-part BBC documentary called Paradise or Bust[5] and a book by founder Ben Keene.
Management of the Fijian project was handed back to the local community in October 2011.
