Hehe, finally brought a new gfx card (sapphire 1950pro ultimate) to replace my old 5600.

Here is the effect its had upon my CNC3 games.

First the 5600 :(


Now the 1950pro :D


Thought it was quite interesting to see the difference.
And its safe to say I wont be leaving such a large span before upgrading again. :)

Holy Jeez Nuts, makes me feel like upgrading but with a HDTV as main screen don't think I will see a major difference. :(

Ahh I took it down before I faced the wrath of Zefan! :p

EDIT: Old one back up now as I can't get the damn size down lol

I'm having to live with graphics similar to the first screenshot :(

Hopefully a new PC later in the year though :)
 
so I'm the only one that would prefer to play with the first shot then? looks like major jaggies and harsh lighting in the second one to me, it looks horrible.
 
oh, I wouldn't know - I've never seen a tiberium field in real life.

I'd rather play on the first one -It's kinder on my eyes. Neither of them are very "realistic".
 
I thought I'd wait until Vista was a few years down the line before doing a serious upgrade, i.e. DX10.

So I decided to grab a 7900GS 512MB from OcUK to fill the gap. I have to say, it's a great upgrade from my old 600GT considering the price. To this day I don't have a game that it can't play at a decent level of detail and a good FPS!
