next year the estate where our last minute silly cheap student house is will look not to disimilar from the one in OP

i wear tracksuit bottoms around the house as theyre comfy. guess if i go stand outside and talk to someone next year i will become an ocuk chav

By wearing a baseball cap & tracksuit 24/7 (and/or burberry) whilst hanging around in groups drinking cider etc. Optional items include Elizabeth Duke jewellery on the chavetts.

Just to reiterate the point.
 
i can not tell from that picture , whether or not those people are genuine and a ok bunch.

for that reason it fails as op presumes that people who are either poor , overweight, no dress sense, style, or any care whatsoever about the way they look, have an interest in singular gates, no social etiquette , that they cannot not be good people with a high regarding social standing, well liked well respected in the community, can be trusted , welcoming to strangers, respectful of the police force, regular voter, honest, generous , hygienic , hates drugs and drinks only on special occasions .
 
I really did laugh at the gate. The way they're all standing around almost seems as though they're thinking "The young 'uns 'll be fine, there's a gate!".

As an aside, those who are arguing that you can't judge a book by its cover are right. At the moment, my house looks like a wreck. The gales last month took our front gates and a fence panel off. The side panels and the entire rear fence need redoing/replacing but we simply can't afford it for the forseeable future.

Not to mention our garden looks like a building site as it's not level (needs to be rotovated and leveled) and is strewn with wood from knocking down old trellis and other stuff the previous owners left all around, and a metal "hobo bin" in which I burn said waste wood when I get that rare good-weathered day that I'm not working - as we can't afford to hire a skip on a whim.

Add to that the garden being horribly overgrown (was semi-cut today as the sun was out) because the Mrs. seems to have an allergy to the lawnmower and strimmer.

We also have a spare car stored at the side of the house for when I eventually get to learn to drive, money and time permitting.

At the front, we have some dead plants in planters (again, the wife's responsibility), and a VERY badly done job on the tarmac and stoney-parts (I don't know what to call those "enclosed" little areas people have with the multicolour pebble-dash-esque stones in instead of grass) which the previous owners had done.

I could post pictures but would need to go take them and can't be bothered, but while the house is more or less the perfect picture of chavdom, I can assure you that we are not at all chavs, and own our home. We simply can't afford to have certain things rectified as we basically live paycheque to paycheque.

because you keep coming back :p whats that about? why can't you keep away from a thread you find pointless and crap.

I find it has a point so when new posts are made, i will come back, as said above even if the points being made aren't really on the original topic, there is still points being made, so therefore making this thread a pointfull thread and keeping alive :D

I completely agree. There is no co-relation between people whose lifestyle mimics that of the picture in the OP and lack of intelligence, social standing, trustworthyness and position.

For all you know they could each be an accountant or an investment banker. Stereotyping is bad.

I left it when it was first created. 3 pages later and it's the top post on the 1st page. I leave it again and it's once again top thread.
