I see what Depps team are doing now, they are on damage control, as they were unable to get Heards counter claim struck off they are attempting to minimise the amount she can claim as damages, there's no way she will get $100m, maybe $10m at most.

I think theyll get sod all after that last experts statements.

I dont think amber will get a penny on her counterclaim and i dont expect Johnny to win his claim either (although i hope he does). The overall winner will eb Johnny though in the court of public opinion and Amber is seen as toxic property now.

If JD wins then yes he will be awarded millions, Heards ability to pay though is a different matter, although it will bankrupt and stop her from working for years.

I can't even imagine that B winning butwho knows a jurys mind

Curious though about the UK case.

As it was the judge who determined the outcome can it be appealed if JD wins here?

I always thought that judge was wrong but it was his court so his decision.

AH always looks the most miserable when someone is laying into her public image.

That's because she cares more about her ego than anything else. Notice how during the entire case when testimony is being given regarding the elleged abuse she rarely wrote anything down.

Now because her ego and popularity is being attacked, she's writing mega notes, with a mega pen on her mega notepad.

I believe if Johnny wins this case it opens the UK case for appeal as by winning this case it's implied Amber perjured herself in the UK case as a witness and therefore means the ruling of the Uk case is questionable and appealable

Not so sure about that, she would probably need to be convicted of perjury to go down that road.

I was looking more at the "reasonable doubt" that a win for JD would bring here.

If she loses this its hard to see studios in hollywood wanting to hire her as well. So her next acting gig might well have a Mega Train ran on her. :o

How come he lost the UK case?
As far as I'm aware she won based on her word only because she's a woman and abuse allegations must be taken very seriously, no evidence was provided. There was actually plenty of evidence to point to the opposite (that Depp didn't touch her) but the judge disregarded it in favour of testimony. The metoo movement was in high gear at the time which probably influenced things I imagine as nothing needed to be proved.

Its a very weird case, not sure what Johnny did after it.

dodgy judge, as was said before by someone else, the level of incompetance was incredible and the fact during testimony amber basically admits to passing details onto the press during her court appearance for the TRO, they basically ignored it.

Musta been pumping the judge on the side.

How come he lost the UK case?
Civil case so the judge decided that on the balance of probabilities he believed what Amber said, and was satisfied that Johnny hit her in a number of occasions and so was a 'wifebeater'. Apparently based largely on her own account, and ignoring other evidence.

The full judgement is written up here:
not that I've read it :p.

Will be interesting to see how an appeal goes once the American trial is over.
