This War of Mine

This is really good and very addictive :)
Lasted 32 days then the last guy killed himself, its pretty dark.
 
I got this game just yesterday but havent yet made it past day 12. Did manage to get a shotgun and a pistol but only 3 bullets...

Really struggling for food
 
Wow, I got it on a whim and it took me by surprise. Great atmosphere, great execution, satisfying gameplay. One of the best survival games I've ever played.
 
Surprised about this game as its an almost 1:1 clone of Deadlight looks like several scenes are almost taken from it as well :eek:

Um, other than visual similarities, it's nothing like Deadlight, which is just a platformer. This is a survival game, no saves, time limit, hunger, moral choices, base building..
 
Been playing this all evening, got up to day 7 then was so desperate for food ended up having to fight people and died :(

On day 8 now, just had a new survivor arrive to help out and going well. Although the new survivor will put some strain on the food supplies, he is a "handyman" so I think he uses less parts/wood etc. to make things which will come in handy!

Collected quite a few broken pistols and gun parts, so hopefully can turn my little abode into a weapons factory and repair pistols then use them for trading :)
 
Animal traps work pretty well if you are having food issues.

Oh and make a distill to sell moonshine at the market :)

I'm up to day 35, starting to struggle and probably time to restart. Lost one of my guys and made few other small mistakes. I'm self sufficient food wise but can't get wood and materials from anywhere, can't get to market due to snow.

Really enjoying this.

Visit the locations you cleared with an axe equipped and destroy the furniture for all your wood needs. ;)
 
Don't have materials to make an axe :( was wondering last night in bed whether it works like that. :) There's plenty of wood laying arround everywhere and my guys are freezing!!

I've got enough food for a week or so so might wait to see if trader comes round. But down to 2 men and one of them is sick so not sure I'll last.
 
Was playing this over the weekend and enjoyed it quite a lot, got the GF to make some choices too to involve her.

Brilliant game and different from the usual survival games, think im on Day 15 at the moment with 4 people still alive and no-one injured, getting a bit low on food though so probably gonna try create a trap to catch animals :)
 
Day 44.

Everyone in my group is sick, injured and miserable.

Really dark and dreary atmosphere. There's a real sense of dread snooping around peoples houses. Last time I got caught I was hacked to death on a ladder.

Sorry for qouting myself but managed to survive till end. :) Lost the sick guy but had 2 other survivors join me, both came to me sick which didn't help. Only Bruno survived from my original group.

I'm gonna start again, should be easier now that I know waht to do. I'll see how many people I can save this time.
 
Added it to my Wishlist will get it on the Christmas steam sale, Like many other games I never seem to get around to playing/completing, I hope I'll play this!
 
I'm hoping this is in the Steam winter sale at some point. It looks really interesting and a few Steam friends are raving about it.
