WD Caviar Green are on TWO so was considering getting a couple at that price. However I read they're not intended for raid. I'm after some HDDs to throw in my Windows Home Server, which I know doesn't technically use raid but does employ some behind the scenes trickery with drive extender, will these be ok?
Edit: 2TB Seagate Barracuda's are also on TWO...are they any good? Not really familiar with seagate hdds.
Also - I intend to rip my Bluray/DVDs onto these for streaming across my network. Are the HDDs fast enough (5,200rpm) for that kind of work? I assume they are but would I be better going for 7,200?
