Too bad my i3 will bottleneck, I guess I'll have spend some extra cash now that Haswell is out, oh, the choices I have to make sometimes.

But with AMD's new graphics card line up coming soon, not sure if I should wait.

Damn it very tempting on the matrix, will I see any performance improvement over a xfire 6950(unlocked to 6970)?
Been planning on holding out on the graphics card upgrade as have just spent little over £400 on the Asus Maximus vi formula plus 4770k to upgrade my current 2500k system.

In short, yes. Even at 1GHz, the 7970 is often over 50% faster than a stock 6970, sometimes even 100%. And these things can get to 1200-1300MHz. Add in the extra memory, bigger bandwidth, vast improvements in GCN etc.

Just to be clear I have 2x 6950(6970), so you're saying 1 of these will be faster?

I'm saying that a stock 7970 GE can be up to twice as fast as a 6970, and the Matrix already comes at a higher speed than the stock one, and can go a lot further. Crossfire isn't 100% scaling. An overclocked 7970 will give you near, equal or better speeds depending on the game, but the increase in memory and memory bandwidth is also important looking forward. And you get Mantle support.

But like i said they will most likely give you the difference if you ring them or post in the customer service section.

I did read in one of the other threads someone had a similar issue, and one of the staff said to just order another as a second order as it's free delivery, not 100% whether this will apply in your case as I haven't purchased two.

This week only makes you think your getting it as cheap as itll go for at least a few weeks that was my point

£8 is no big deal and not worth returning it for but I dont think its right prices being cheaper after the this week only deal has ended.
