The day a friend accidentally snapped my FF7 disc 3 in half :eek:

It was alright though, he replaced it. Now I don't let anyone touch my FF games. They are too prone to scratches.
 
Before our first PC we had an Atari ST with all the best games on it (Cops n Robbers anyone? :D )

My dad had promised me the Atari once we had the PC, the day before the PC arrived the Atari broke and stopped working :(
 
Playing half-life only to find out that I had in fact, for some reason, stopped playing at the end boss and never actually completed it only to do so in two minutes with the very same save game four years later!

What a let-down that ending was.

Haven't most of the developers/people in charge of bringing in the NGE now moved on from SWG? I never played SWG but I couldn't trust any game linked to SOE due to the way they treated their customers, especially as it was released a couple of weeks after an expansion and made a lot of stuff in it useless.

yes i believe they went to another up and coming mmo...couldnt tell you which...and its all just bad implementation of the "WoW theory" that o so many firms mimic now in order to try and generate revenue

well...bar smeg head smedly and julio torres the 2 muppets in charge of soe -> LA relations

when i was just using quick saves in half life and i got to zen world and pressed save instead of load just as i was falling off a cliff. ******* great!
 
Pokémon Yellow.. When I left the cartridge by my computer and it somehow got wiped. :( :( Had all 150 Pokémon as well... Was scouring the edge's of my village for a Mew as well. :(

the day i got warlord on a WoW char in a low populated server then 2 weeks later the pre TBC patch was released and ranks which took me months of getting were no more than a mere subtitle and people like me who spent months getting warlord for the amazing armor and weapons. we were astumped and pi**ed off that a simple average joe playing at 5 hours a week could get that armor in a month......

Which is the reason Half-life kept the last two quick saves in the saved games folder rather than just the last one? So you could manually go back and select that one instead in case you screwed up like this.

Or am I just rubbing more salt into the wound by telling you something that would have saved you? If so I’m sorry :( :eek:

haha! you just killed his entire hl experiance :(

another one of mine were when the ps1 had a third party release a cheats pack thing, like a disk you put in and downloaded cheats for games.... ruined everything if you ask me
