Can't people enjoy the true spirit of Christmas and Easter without bringing religion into it?

I mean the rules are pretty clear and are there for a reason.
Putting up the tree was done traditionally at the start of advent which marks the lead up to the celebration of the birth of Jesus. Kind of the whole point of Christmas.
Dis, I respect the hell out of you, and visualise you by your posts as the intelligent younger brother that I never had, but there’s no way on God’s green earth that I’m accepting a “rule” for when to put up a Christmas tree.
A guide line or protocol I can live with, but not a rule

This or the closest Saturday after if I’m busy, nobody should put the decorations up in Novemeber! Early December is good as you get your money’s worth out of the tree!
My FB feed is already full of Will Ferrell Santa’s coming and only 50 sleeps until Christmas rubbish. Always from girls.Never understood the folk who put their decorations up mega early like in November, prattle on about Xmas on FB the whole time right up until Xmas, then pack them all away on Boxing day and claim they are done for another year.
I put my tree up on the 23rd Dec last year and took it down on 3rd Jan.
