Thoughts on circumcision?

I had it done as a kid, i didn't know much about it apart from it hurt like hell after. The reason i think was the skin being too tight and causing problems, can't remember now and i don't exactly want to go asking my mom now im 24 :eek:

The sensetivity thing is not an issue at all, infact it works better as you are aroused quicker :p My GF also preferes how it looks.
 
If you live in the desert 6,000 years ago, I'd imagine there are substantial health benefits. In the modern Western world with running water... not so much.
 
I had it done to me when I was a babbah, so I can't comment on the pain thing :p - cant help but think it'd be weird having it tbh :p

Now I always joked my Mum was a clean freak but when she told me it was done due to hygiene reasons, thats when I was convinced she was one :p
 
Potential hygiene issues seems a dubious reason to chop a bit of someone's flesh off.

Every part of the body will have a potential hygiene issue if it's not cleaned.

I need to get it done apparently according to a clinic', but I don't want to, so I'm keeping quiet and not telling my med officer lol.
 
Don't really see the point in having it done, have no problems with mine...

How long does it take for the foreskin to grow back?
 
Well there are a few issues/myths here which were discussed in another thread recently. Put briefly, being clean is not that simple as for example HPV load is higher in clean people with a foreskin than unclean without. However, and this is big however that does not directly matter to the person concerned only the people they have sex with. Therefore, ruling out its mass usage by ethical standards. Strangely one of the poorest arguments for circumcision is on so-called medical grounds where unnecessary surgery takes place when in fact all the evidence shows that steroid creams would be more than adequate. Don't get me started on religion in my opinion that is just plain barbaric.
 
Am i the only guy here whos had a circumcision??

I'm 22 and had it about 6 months ago due to reasons.., seriously its the best thing ever and no problems at all.

From having it had both ways being circumcised is so much better in so many different ways, im not gonna go into it as its not a medical forum..

Clearly the people who are against it will say all sorts of negative things but they have not got a clue how better it is.
 
Sometimes you have to have it done if you snap your banjo string because the scar tissue is never as supple as the original tissue so it ends up happening again and again, the only solution is to be circumcised in that instance.
