Thoughts on this ebay reply...

Nah its jsut everytime there is an ebay thread by a seller or buyer saying they are having a problem, its always the other sides fault.

Yeah, I get your point but have you actually read all the messages sent back and forth, fairly sure i've done everything to the letter.

What gets on my **** is when buyers cant be arsed to give feedback!

ive had 2 buyers who i have sold things too with great service , they were both collection only.

Ive help them with directions and so on yet i give them great feedback so why cant they be bothered to give me feedback?????

I know its a choice thing but is it really that hard to do!

For eBay I take a picture of the item before putting it in the packaging, one after and one as I'm handing it over to the courier or at the post office. this ensures I have evidence that they item was packed and posted in pristine condition so if a penis gobbler decides to get shirty then they back down immediately!

Ive only sold a few things on ebay but the first 2 items i sold never had feedback left. I now state on my adverts that i will only leave feedback upon receipt of feedback from the buyer. Never had a problem since. :)

WORST CONDITION EVER!

what so you wait till you recieve feedback first?

thats a good idea , might try that although i might not type it on the page.

At £500 profit i'm fairly sure any tax i'd have to pay would be pretty low :D

It's building though, I did it for fun from last october and it's just grown. People will sell collections of 50-250 comics at an average of 25p-40p per comic, I buy, split and sell seperately from 99p each, it takes ages to list but if I can get to a good enough point, maybe be self employed at it within a few years.

I thought you could earn up to £3.5k a year tax free

My full time job pays £21k so i'm not sure how it works.

Can I actually register myself as a business while in full time employment?

I'm honestly not sure of the law in this area, although my work T&C say I can't run a business outside of work.

I never leave feedback until it's been received by the buyer. Also as a seller you are unable to leave negative comments which is simply retarded, for example my situation I feel the buyer needs at least a neutral for poor conduct.

Done some research, if you earn £100k a year or less than the maximum personal allowance is £7,475

So yes the money you earn on the side doesn't need to be taxed.

I sell on eBay, and yes, quite a few buyers are retards. I actually had one bloke threatening me down the phone, and threatened to come down there and kick my head in because I hadn't sent his items. He hadn't paid for them. I never received the cheque he supposedly sent, nor was it cashed into the bank. Doesn;t matter how many times I told him this. Lived scotland. Yes, hes going to drive all this way over a £1.59 set of dremel discs. Retarded.

Yes, you can run your own business and have another job. I do. Though you are best of speaking to an accountant.
