THQ week on Steam

Metro is tempting, I see there is a demo so I'm gonna try that first though.

Should I expect the game to run perfectly well on my machine?

It should run adequately well, depends of course how high you crank everything up. I think you'll be able to get decent enough game play out of it. Imo it looks very, very nice. :)

Hmm i can't make up my mind to get this or not i've never played single player or been intrested but is it worth £6?

or save it for the rest of the week?

I am in the same boat. I am unsure if I would enjoy Metro... some say its almost like a playable benchmark but crap gameplay, others say its a very good game and worth its asking price. I dont know...

Same here, I've read several reviews on it from people and they seem to talk more about the games looks than the games actual play, which is a bit worrying. I can get a techdemo for nothing for my machine if thats what I want.

I think what I will do is leave it for now, chances are it will reappear in the xmas sale at the same price (or cheaper) anyway so if I change my mind I can always pick it up then.

Gameplay wise it didn't feel like anything special on the 'demo'... looks and atmosphere wise its pretty good though but the whole 'ammo as currency'... that sorta thing was a little lost on me. Maybe i didn't pay enough attention or maybe its not supposed to matter until later or maybe they just did it badly, i have no idea.

Still, £6 isn't a bad price. Though as Tombstone said it might be up for 75% off at christmas so if you don't have any particular longing to play it you might aswell wait.

Tempted by Metro, also tempted by Puzzle Dimension which will also work on my MacBook Pro, Damn you steam!!!

If I was not in the middle of NV and waiting for blackops i would get it. I personally liek the sound of the game play and find the idea interesting. £6 quid is cheap though i have decided enough is enough by the time i get blackops i will have spent over 100 quid on games in a few short months. I should start wow again £8.99 a month was much cheaper!

Saw this thread with Metro 2033 at £6 and thought I'll buy that. Log into Steam here in Oz and find the game is on sale at $28, or £17. Rip off mother *******.
