Three missing girls found.

So you're telling me the two brothers lived in the very same house and didn't notice 3 sex salves living there?

Yeah right!

Did you know that the kidnapper's daughter was the last person to see Amanda before she disappeared? She didn't know either!

I'm not convinced that they didn't know, I have to say. But, if that's what the evidence says then we'll have to go with it!

Chin, I beleive that was actually de Jesus (she was good friends with his daughter).

Castro's son (Anthony; who had funnily enough, done an article or report examining the disapearance of de Jesus), had actually been round to the house for some dinner the previous week or so, and was asked by his dad whether he thinks they'll ever find de Jesus, to which Anthony replied that he thinks she's dead. He noted that his father looked surprised at this response.

Read the above last night on a Guardian link afaik, will try and dig up the article tonight.

Ah I do apologise! Thanks for correcting me.

That's mad. I can imagine how he had no idea, but it's still insane to think that his whole family were clueless. I guess that's the only way it could have worked though.

I'm still trying to wrap my head round anyone not being in that house for any length of time and not realising there's four other people living there. Even if they were tied up in the basement with gags etc surely some noise would have alerted them??

it is very hard to fathom i agree

His son had said that they were only let into the house for like 20 mins or so whenever he or other family members visiited.

And Al4x, depends how well it was soundproofed down there. If you look at the Fritzl case, the poor girls mother lived in the same house, but due to all the soundproofing and thick (and hidden!) doors, she never had an inkling.

Didn't Fritzel do the same & lived with his wife in the house? (correct me if I'm wrong) - it's a little bit of "after the fact" logic anyway.

Imagine if 500 people got kidnapped, 2 by luck managed to get away with it for 10 years in the house - the problem is people are only looking at the cases which they are successful & say "omg that could never happen" - you need to look at the bigger picture.

Reasons like the above could make it possible.

Blame the women sounds on a film in another room, next door, have music on when they visit - gag/drug them when people visit, threaten them with extreme violence if they make any noise during a visit etc - many of things they could have done to get away with it.

What are the apologetics views on this? Gonna defend the perpetrators again are we?

I have to say that whilst on face value it's great that the women are now free I just can't help but have had the feeling right from when this news broke that there is something not quite right with the whole story. I may be completely off the mark there but hey - I'm a cynic.

Just read Fox News article on this and wish I hadn't. A very sad disgusting story these poor girls went through and the horror of the miscarriages that would appear to have been induced by this vile POS. I hope this sicko gets what's coming to him in prison and put within general population and lives his life in fear always wondering when not if.

The other brother's did not live at the same address.

If they didn't live there that is one thing, the impression given is that all three lived there, and for those calling people reactionary and pretending to be the arbitors of true justice and pretending they are better.

Get the hell over yourselves, its an opinion, media suggests 3 brothers live at address, people assume the three are guilty, boo hoo, media then tells people one one person lived there, people change their opinion, that is how information and opinion works.

However, personally I think their is some responsibility here, if I went over to say my brothers house, and there was a door I knew went to the basement and he freaked out if I went near it, and my brother was a nut job, frankly I'd keep an eye on him, if he was taking food into the house for 4 people.... I would get someone to follow up on it.

Ignoring obvious signs for a decade is criminally irresponsible, as is police, if true, ignoring reports of seeing these girls naked in the garden.

They may or may not be guilty of the actual crimes of rape/kidnapping, but they sure as hell never did anything about the suspicious behaviour of the man. Think about it, your brother, or any family member starts acting really weird, acting weird around a suspiously over a locked door, you just utterly ignore it for a decade? There is a fine line between not knowing and willful ignorance.... the latter is pretty unforgiveable in this situation.

I remember reading about Colleen Stan who was kidnapped and held as a slave for 7 years, put into a coffin under a bed for 23 hours a day.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kidnapping_of_Colleen_Stan

"According to Stan, Hooker feared he had given his slave too much freedom - he took her back to his mobile home and locked her in the wooden box under his water bed; she remained in the box 23 hours a day for the next three years.[15] Bodily functions were dealt with by her using a bed pan which she hooked under herself with her feet.
It was stated in court that the Hooker children were told "Kay" (a form of Stan's slave name K) had gone home and that at night, after the children had gone to bed, Hooker would take her out of the box to feed and torture her.[16] She was not allowed to make any noise and she had to lie still twenty-three long hours at a time, in the dark with little air to breathe. In the summer conditions were especially harsh on her as the temperatures would swelter to over 100 degrees in her box. She ate scraps which were always cold and usually leftovers.
"

I wont be surprised if Madeleine Mccann gets found soon.

She is either dead or living a very secluded life with an "Adoptive" family!

(She has a very unusual ocular blemish. If she is still alive nobody could be permitted to see her, nor would she be permitted to see herself on the internet/whatever because she would be able to recognise herself!)
