East from the West .....

Its persisting it down over here in Ilkley (20 Km NW from the centre of Leeds)

Lightning is becoming more and more infrequent. We had a really long clap of thunder which was rattling.

The amount of rain caused a wall to collapse near my house! And all the water it was holding flooded a big dip under the bridge on the main road. A car was fully submerged! Police blocked off the entire road.

Had about five minutes of rain and one distant clap of thunder about 25 mins ago. Thats about it for me.

We had a big storm, but I didn't see anything, just heard the thunder. I was hoping it would clear up the air, but it was so warm that the rain has just evaporated back into the atmosphere so it's still as humid as it was last night

We had a massive downpour 30mins or so of very heavy rain today at about 5 o'clock with some serious thunder and lightening, one bit was that close and loud i jumped clean out of my chair :eek:

But it did clear up the air a lot and its less humid than it has been now.

I'm sure we had the odd rumble about 4AM this morning for a while. Or at least something kept me awake for about 10-15 minutes. Totally wrecked this morning now.

And people wonder why I don't like the summer!
