Thunderflies

4 dead ones in my main monitor, and 3 in my second from last year.. hope I'm not going to get any more this year.

If I get enough, think I can claim them as dead pixels?

Is it possible to take off the film mounted in front of the pannel to get the dead out?, seems to be only held on with some kind of tape.

I made the mistake of wearing a yellow shirt in this weather the other day, big mistake.

I find the best way to get rid of them is to run around like a mad-man slapping yourself.

Lol! Then you get tackled by police officers for attempted terroism.

So do you loose the flies or gain a new jacket with sleeves that tie behind you're back if spotted by anyone?, or you could just be a little too harsh on yourself and beat yourself so much you just go from fly lunch to worm fodder.

Been outside for the last hour or so and had to come in and have a shower to nuke the little ********. I really despise them.

Bit of both in some cases, as the nice jackets the people give me are white too.

yep, ant killer all over the place, seems to of done the trick. They seem to love the door to the conservatory. Just crawling all around the seals and on teh outside step.

I've got one in my monitor from last year, it's damm anoying allthough it's only noticable when I'm my monitors displaying white, at one point I had about 5 crawling around in it but all the others escaped.
So does anyone know if you can take your monitor apart and remove them.

My mate had one crawl into his TFT monitor 6 years ago and it decided to die right in the very centre, and it's still visible in the monitor to this day! After he asked me to look up a safe way of how to remove it, to be quite honest - there isn't none. I remember reading up on google that loads of other people have had the same problem, ended up taking monitor to bits and still unable to get to behind the actual panel where the thunderflie is because it's just simply to thin to get into and can break/damage very easily. The only likely way to get round it is just to live with it unfortunately. I have also read that some people have managed to get free replacements from various manufacters because they were still under warranty.

I'm still bitter about the one that got into my monitor a few years back, spent a few days just wandering about the screen before finally dying, remaining in place forever!

Never had one crawl into my screen, but they're certainly annoying. Wearing a white shirt they stick out quite obviously.

I thought my screen was immune to these thunder bugs (no glass panel, just the regulars), then I thought WTF? A black blury thing was on the screen, under it somewhere, there is 2, right in the corner
