Thunderflies

So do we need to cope with these in our monitor just like dead pixels? I'm out of warranty on mine, and one is on the search bar when FF is on, and the other to the left of it :\

I honestly have no idea what everyone in this thread is talking about? You all make it sound like theres a big mushroom cloud of flying insects sweeping over the nation.

I've not seen anything of the sort, and certainly haven't got an insect problem o__o ?

Never ever seen 1 tho i do live in London suburbs.

Please don't hotlink. Thank you.

Even if it was in warranty, you couldn't warranty a monitor because an insect got inside of it.

Could you claim it was a group of dead pixels? I'm not sure what DPs look like, having been lucky enough to avoid them, but just looking at it, how different would dead pixels look to a small rectangular bug shape?

Our office has been under heavy fire from these little annoyances.

We're surrounded by fields, and have 1000s of them around the office.

A couple of them even managed to get under people's monitor screens - and walk around on the screen, but under the cover

They're out in full force now in Rugby. Caught a few for my Mantis but he doesn't seem interested, so not even good for pet food! Do they actually come out to anticipate a storm, or is just the hot/humid weather conditions at the moment?

I assume they just come out during hot and humid weather, that way they get to be as annoying as possible.

Storms often follow after periods of humidity, I imagine this is just a coincidence, and also how they got their name.

Been hit by the likes of some of you. got one under my Dell 19' Panel. been there for about 4 years. ive learned to live with it!

Sorry to bump this thread but I had one of those buggers crawling around in my monitor earlier tonight. I'm hoping turning the screen off will force it out.:(

Is there anyway of getting them out of a screen without a glossy/glass front?
