I'm on holiday atm in Devon (exmouth) and all we've had is generic muggyness and a bit of rain

I've been told that we did have one rumble of thunder earlier at about 3 but I didn't hear it.

we had a huge thunder storm yesterday here in guernsey. one minute it was nice and sunny, the next it was almost like it was evening. there was only one huge clap of thunder, ive never heard anything so loud before, i thought the building was coming down on us, and some sort of apocalypse was happening

Had a pretty intense storm down in West Wales last night.

Managed to short my PC out and turn everything in my room off but thankfully everything was ok. Time to invest in a surge protector me thinks !

Yea, we have really quite mild downpours over here compared to much bigger things elsewhere. I've seen Monsoons and e.g. massive storms in the USA and they just don't compare to our drizzling.

Last tuesday a storm hit our local substation head on and blew it all....10 men working 48 hours and many hours without power it seems to be sorted!

I cannot describe the horror of having no internet for 2 evenings.....

I'm filling up just thinking about it!.....

Aye I can hear one in the distance now, few flashes of light but nothing spectacular.
Still gives me a man reaction.
