I know this is going to sound strange, but someone i talk to down Canvey Island area of the country, has just been telling me a really strange story about it snowing down there today, is that actually heard of with this type of weather, shes completely convinced it happened, shes as gobsmacked as me, she says it deffo was NOT hail but it was a pretty torrential thunderstorm... anyone got anything to add?

So i finally got home, soaked to the core as when i left my office it was chucking it down..luckily here in east london by the time i got off the tube, the rain had more or less stopped.

No rumbles or lightening show here

We haven't seen a single sign of thunderstorms in Southampton

There was about an hours worth of light rain last night around 6ish but that was about it.

Bring me the crazy thunderstorms that I love!

I was actually please last night...as I had sown some grass seed and done some landscaping in the garden.

The soil was like powder and it really needed some moisture.

Lakeland, Florida, USA had severe thunderstorms almost with 100 days a year. They had it almost every days in summer season (July and August) I going there one day to view it.
