I woke up to one boom of thunder and then it was silence after that. I guess I'd just missed it.

We had torrential rain here at 6am this morning then a almighty bang of thunder at 6.10am... Nothing since though.

Was expecting a good performance last night, but just a few distant rumbles, & an odd flash.

We just had one massive hailstorm, setting off all the car alarms in the area, big pieces of ice almost the size of a 10p.

In Hucknall , Nottingham its been nearly a 24 hour storm. Thundering and lightning pretty non stop the whole time and now massive hail stones.

Nottinghamshire is the lucky storm of this UK (ongoing for 24 hours non-stop) lucky who lives there! More thunderstorms is forecasters for tonight!

Yep. I'm in Nottinghamshire. Storm broke here for a few hours late morning but has got back on track...

What I'm quite concerned about is the very large tree in the cemetery behind us, which if it came down badly would crush my house, my bedroom being the first room it would hit. I keep meaning to get something done about it. Oh well.

Well ive never seen anything like that before. The hail stones, rain and wind was so bad i could not see out of my windows, it ripped open my bedroom window and covered my laptop and pc in rain it looked and sounded like there was a blizzard in my room. Water started seeping in under my Front door and now there's water leaking from the loft! Thank god its stopped!

Yeah rain in Nottingham just now was like something I've never seen before, the road up from me looks like a lake and the fire brigade are currently pumping it away, I had water leaking in from around my window frame and the back garden was under at least 3 inches of water.
