Thunderstorms

According to an episode of QI I watched, the safest thing to do in a thunder storm if you're caught in the open, is to bend down, head between legs and bum in the air. Never stand under a tree as if it's struck, the sap boils and the tree can explode.

This is the sum knowledge of my wisdom on thunder storms. Use it wisely people and remember, be good to each other. ;)

Yours is due later ( apparently )

Though forecasts have been utter rubbish lately, they can't forecast out of a paper bag

Just rain forecasted and looking at the radar, that looks like all we will have, that will a welcome relive, but it's no thunderstorm.

It's so dark right now in crowborough. Think we're going to get soaked. Can hear thunder in the distance

I'm in Welling, near Bexley. I swear I can actually hear it in the air. No thunder, just the air seems to take up a noise when there's one coming.

Thunderstorms are not fun when you have a dog shaking like a leaf and wondering around the house/jumping on the bed non stop for 3+ hours.

On the plus side I'm off work this week so have just got out of bed now.

I agree, I love a good storm but felt for my dog who literally wanted to sit on my face the whole time (no puns) shaking, panting and being very scared. He calmed down a hour after the storm only for another to arrive.
