Why wouldn't you want him to suffer isolated in a prison cell for the rest of his life?

I don't think anyone capable of such a crime can ever be capable of giving an answer that makes sense after-all what they did makes no sense.

You rarely find the answer, largly down to health/life issues.
They should bring the electric chair back. I don't want anyone walking about if they are killers, jail or no jail they should be executed.
True but at least they would have an answer which is better than nothing.

You would have to hope not isolated permanently, after-all prisons have their own way of dealing out daily punishment, and yes I would wish him a long and torturous incarceration rather than a quick suicide.
Because he won't and then he'll get out and live a normal life.

ask liberty about that, it could never happen in the UK, even if every other country in the world did it, and it isn't hard to remove a tag, especially if you actually want to go missing, stick tag on train, watch the police run the wrong way

The last thing I want is him dead; quite the opposite, but I doubt anything in the universe could offer any comfort or explanation to her parents.

Shouldn't speculate but it is probably another Huntley scenario. He's tried it on with her, she's resisted, started to scream and say she was going to tell on him and he has shut her up in the most horrible of ways.
Even if he was to get out which I highly doubt, he would constantly be looking over his shoulder!
It requires a bit more to charge and convict someone than just for them to speak about somebody in the past tense.

You have looked at his picture; he probably has no idea what past-tense means, same as a good proportion of the population who use the same descriptive speech regularly.
I agree to some extent but it's not hard to just start somewhere on the other side of the country and be kinda ok.
Oh well, we'll see what happens.
