I'm getting fed up with this, people take so long at the self-service tills in supermarkets it's ridiculous, they stand there for ages ringing their items through and DON'T put them into the plastic bag immediately, they then let them pile up, pay for them, then put them in the plastic bag and it takes TWICE as long, they seem to have no sense of urgency or cognisance of the people behind them, it's all me me me I can take as long as I like is there anyone else around, ah so what I don't care, well I was at the till today and the guy next to me was piling his stuff up and he dropped his sausage roll and I didn't pick it up for him HAH.

Yeaaaah I do get what you mean. Same as when people seem 'surprised' they need to find their card to pay or more specifically for London, when they get to the barriers and THEN take out their card/try and find it. Urgh.

There's a war on.

Not EVERY single topic has to be about what's going on with Russia...everyone is aware.

EDIT: Ha I was about to quote a random post of yours to say 'did you know there is a war on?' and literally you only post in the Ukraine thread. :p

Omg this drives me mad as well... meandering with their head down through the Tube and OH LOOK A TURNSTILE, it's like they're never seen one before and they then have to hurriedly search their for card as if the ticket gate has ambushed them. Yes sure, turnstiles were introduced yesterday, we only just sacked all the armoured guards, *********** *****.

Walks to self service checkout with bag
"Have you brought your own bag?"
*yes*
"Please place the bag in the bagging area"
*places bag*
"THERE IS AN UNEXPECTED ITEM IN THE BAGGING AREA. PLEASE WAIT"

Have you ever said anything to those guilty of this?

that'll teach him.

Will you please stop thinking the same as me but reacting quicker!

Tell me about it, another doozy was when (invariably a woman), would want me to stop my taxi immediately next to a row of cars parked at the kerb, then faff about looking in her bag for a credit card to pay a £3.20 fare.

Take in 5 minutes of any news channel right now. Realise how lucky you are. 4 weeks ago, some Ukrainian dude felt the exact same way in the Tesco checkout - now he sleeps on the floor of a disused Tesco.

Get. A. Grip.

This is exactly why I do what the OP is complaining about. Plus no offense OP but you being in a rush shouldn't dictate anyones else life around you, if they want to take their sweet time they can.

Also the lunch deal in Coop has gone up from £3.50 to £3.75.

I am one of these people, because self service check outs are fickle enough without sticking your own bag on first and then standing there waiting for some completely uninterested shop worker who's only job is to watch over the SCOs to realise there's a flashing red light, a message telling you and everyone else that the scale is having a wobbly and the fact I'm trying to scout them down to finally switch on and sort it.
Scan, Pay, Bag. No chance for it to start crying at me.
