Time for a new case...for lots of rads!

A she eh, well kudos to her for the insane OTT mod, love it :D

450ml Phobya Balancer as it will take up almost an entire side of my case and hopefully hide my PSU to some extent :p

Its not needed, I just have room for it and it will make the case look less empty :)
 
I'm investigating the fan control issue, as I'll have either 12 or 17 fans to power depending how I cool the 1080, my main concern is overloading an Aquearo.

I'm still in the planning stages and hope to buy some more parts this coming week, which will be the fans, res and probably a new D5 top, then its just a case of getting hold of some 7970 blocks and getting my backplates made :)

Edit: Depending how I take the monsoon lighting I'm likely to need a molex power board too (one molex in giving 5+ outlets, or start soldering).
 
Surely thats the beauty of the aquearo, you could add a power adjust module and use that with the 9 fans from your 1080 and stick the rest on the aquearo(water block advisable).
And dont forget they can control lighting too!!
The only downside for me with them is that when your set up there is no need to fiddle with them!! I just have a look now and then to see its all running ok. Fit and forget, be it everyday use or benching, does it all without touching a thing. ;)

I'll have a look into it, I know I can fit blocks to the aquearo I'd just rather not add more blocks then required, its already going to be a pain to bleed such a big loop :p

My first plan was to run each fan set (3 x 120, 3 x 120, 4 x 180/9 x 120 & 2 x 140) from the controller using the required splitters and drop all of the lighting modules through a direct on/off rocker switch set that would be power routed through a single molex.

I guess my main aim is to use a little molex/sata power connectors as possible direct from the PSU, as we all know they are a complete pain when it comes to cable routing due to the amount of connectors on a single chain.

55c isn't bad for all that load on a small passive heatsink! I'll look into it, I know what fans I'm going to be using and may use 180mm's on the 1080 just for the silence, so I'll see what my wiring looks like then :)
 
Anyway all them rads, sure you need fans!!??

Nice effect on the lighting, will be fairly restrictive in the fluid you can use, but it does look good :cool:

Just for benching and to keep air flowing through the case, most of the time they will be down at 7v or off :D

I may just leave fans off of the 1080 altogether as its externally mounted anyhow its likely to be a touch cooler then the inside of the case.
 
Well I had the 1080+360 hooked to my 3820 & 7970 lightning, both heavily clocked both heavily over volted, gpu would sit around 46c cpu around 65c.

Will fit the wheels today and snap some more pics.
 
Wheels are on, I'll grab some pics tomorrow as I need to do some final measuring up so I can order some parts :)
