Time for another 'To Do' List!

MY00 Impreza.

Jobs to do:-

Clutch res needs trimming a few mm to stop STI8 intercooler banging on it.
STI8 ducting needs fitting to bonnet to suit intercooler.
Could do with checking rear brakes because I think one has stuck again.
Maybe source new P1 front splitter as mines been chopped for a frount mount but I'm staying top mount.

Doesn't really need much.

1. Sell my pug
2. Leave money in ISA
3. Come august, opt out company car scheme. Take the 6K PA car allowance
4. Buy Lotus Europa S
5. Job done

EDIT: Scrap all that - just looked at a car Fox pointed me at on the BMW website - I'm sticking with the company car!

argh:p I wanted to see/hear one before I bought one to replace this huge RS*R thing. Mugen airbox already lined up:cool:

Tanabe SMR was the best I heard up at Japfest. Awesome sound IMO and not got a stupid bore on the end can. Was gonna get one for my ITR, but then I sold the car.

Elise

* Wait for seats to come back from trimmers (another 4 weeks :()
* Get various cheapo plastic interior bits sprayed to match paintwork
* Get new front tyre fitted
* MOT
* Tax
* Get geo done
* Renovo on roof
* Fit rear speakers
* Polish the hell out of it

MGF

* Fit new carpets (current ones have got a rip in the drivers side one)
* Fit new seats (red is a bit too tarty so I got some black ones from Ebay)
* Fit new speakers
* Renovo roof
* Refurb alloys in anthracite
* Fit some sort of airbox as the Pipercross filter is sucking in hot air, not good :(

I should get a fair few of the MGF jobs done this weekend as long as the weather is ok.

RF600

1. Repair nose fairing which I scraped down the wall as the gap around the side of my house is too small - needless to say, the wall has now been ripped down :cool:

2. Oil, filter and coolant change

2. Rewire rear lights so all 3 lamps are dual filament

3. Better headlight bulbs :)

Back from the bodyshop today, so:
* Get the back bumper off and fill the towbar hole
* Take the towbar mounting off
* Have a proper look at one rusty rear silencer
* Full wash now it's not dented and scrapped along one side
* Sort out o/s doors or skirt so they stop rusting

Looks like a nice weekend so I should be able to do most of that quickly :).

From what I've read, a Tanabe will be too loud for my liking.

1) Replace handbrake cables (arrived yesterday, will fit Fri afternoon)
2) Check exhaust installation (Fitted new SS exhaust last weekend, it's making a bit of a funny noise so I need to check it over and make sure everything is still tight whilst doing the handbrake on Friday)
3) Fix slight oil leak (I think it's the sump gasket so I'll pop the sump off and reseal it next time I'm doing an oil change)
4) Sort out drivers door lock (I re-keyed it a while back but sometimes it sticks, just needs a little fettling)
5) Reattach trim on passenger side skirt (been hnaging out a bit for a while but it's got worse in the last couple of weeks)
6) Do something with wheels, either refurb, get some polished SC wheels or splash out on some Rotas
7) Sort out various corrosion issues (Got holes in inner wings plus sills, base of pillars and rear of rear arches are showing early signs of rust so need sorting before they get worse.)
8) Paintwork could do with tidying up. Considering a full respray in conjunction with above bodywork repairs
9) Sort out some wiring (Had to remove the immobiliser when I got stranded at the resto show last month and currently have wire taped together that should be fixed properly)
10) Investigate strange noise from engine bay, it's mostly likely either alternator bearings or water pump.
11) Finish installing poly bushes
12) Ditto braided hoses (both of these are long standing jobs that I keep failing to do)
13) Free off siezed up track rods and get alignment done (I keep putting this off until I've done the bushes)
14) Fit smaller steering wheel
15) Fit decent stereo
16) Engine swap (I can dream can't i?)

I'm sure there's a few things I've forgotten plus I've not started on the list of jobs I need to do on vix's car....or the 'fixer-upper'......then there's the breaker I still haven't finished breaking....

Bit of a mixed day today. On the plus side:
Done the handbrake cables. Faffed with the exhaust a bit but haven't driven anywhere to see if it's improved.

On the negative side:
Noticed that the rust fairies have stolen a significant portion of my drivers side sill. Body work is now number 1 priority with an MOT due at the end of next month that car will not pass until it's done :(

Got a good quote for all the work I want doing but they can't fit me in until end of July which will mean being without my car for a large portion of the summer :(
