Hi there,

A few months ago some of you on here may of helped me create some kind of routine for me to change my life. This routine was never used as soon after I started a new job (office :/) and it has taken a while to settle.... Now that I have though, I feel as though I have much more spare time than I used to.

May as well take advantage....

I am 6 foot 2/3 and weigh about 95 kg.....
My main motivation is that I am going to Sziget festival in August and I would like to lose a fair bit of weight for that, some of my girl friends are helping with this as they are also aiming for 'Sziget Bodies' ;)

My diet isnt all that bad, maybe a few too many carbs in the form of bread and pasta.... but apart from that there is plenty of fruit, veg and water....

I am an avid Ten pin bowler, I bowl every saturday and tuesday (would love to be able to train more for that as I am actually quite good, would be nice to see how I could be if I practised) and I climb every Wednesday at The Leeds Wall.... This is my only forms of exercise :s but from tomorrow it changes....

Going to run on a morning for half an hour, so HIIT.. and hope to gym Thursday, Friday, Sunday. Also looking at investing in a bike to take over from my running as I enjoy that more.

Would you suggest eating before running or after?

Also is there anything you guys would suggest to chuck in there ahah

What I want to do, is keep updating this thread with pictures and posts so that I have something else to keep me going.......

Thanks for reading and any help and advise would be gratefully accepted :)

I'd suggest eating after running. The amount of times i had to go to the gym after dinner due to other commitments, ruins a session by feeling crap all the way through after running on a full stomach. Maybe have a small snack beforehand and a decent meal when you get back?

Will be good to follow this getting it all written down certainly helps.

You have to eat something in the morning as you wont enjoy running on an empty stomach, just have something light so that you don't feel like you are running on empty or full. Can then follow it up with another light breakfast/shake post workout to take you thru till lunch. Certainly wouldn't do any HIIT on an empty stomach. Even if you do switch to bike too make sure you get a good few miles jogging under your belt a week as it is too important an exercise to miss out.

When it comes to exercise, remember variety is the spice of life. Keep it fresh and you will probably enjoy it more.

Today's food,
Breakfast was only an apple, in a rush
having a hand full of raisins now
and at 12 pm I will be having a ham salad,

Whats the thoughts on putting mustard on?? bad?

prepare your food beforehand if you're going to be in a rush, I have no idea whats in mustard so couldn't tell you if its bad although in small amounts I doubt it'll make a huge difference.

Things are going well, feeling a lot better about myself, only drinking water and green tea.... spreading the food out throughout the day seems to help

Looking forward to a good 4 hour climbing session tonight :)

Climbing done, seem to be feeling benefits already, didnt get nowhere near as tired as quick and we did some more difficult stuff than I am used to.

Completed my first 5 lead climb, that could be coincedence as i have never tried that one.
