Time to journey down water cooling...

I know about the tube/compression fittings size now...I am keeping the compressions and I have found where to get the correct size tubing :D

Now this is odd.

Yesterday I bought this

But what came in the post today was this

I am guessing OcUK ran out of the first one even though it said 1 in stock when purchased it and then said Out Of Stock after said purchase...

Not that I am complaining but just wanted to state it lol :D

Ok people. Update time.

Today is pay day and that means one thing: WATER COOLING PARTS!!! :D

Ok so here is my final list:

CPU block: EK Supreme i7 Clear Top (LGA775 & LGA1366) CPU Water Block
Pump/Res: XSPC Dual 750 Bay Reservoir & Pump - Clear (bought previously)
Radiator: XSPC RS240 Radiator - Black
Fittings: TFC Compression Fitting G1/4" Thread 3/8" ID/1/2" OD - High Flow (bought previously)
Tubing: 3/8" ID - 1/2" OD Hose - Clear (3m)
Coolant: 1L Feser One Fluid - UV Blue
Accessories: Sharkoon 12" UV CCFL 4in1 Kit and TFC XS-1043 LED Module with 2 Roundbeam LEDs - BLUE

So apart from the pump/res and fittings all of that comes to just over £100. So I have purchased them and they all arrive tomorrow. :D

Well today is the day people. I am now about to dismantle my gaming machine and I am waiting on the rest of the water cooling parts to arrive today.

Here is a look at my machine right now:

As you can see some serious amount of cable management needed lol.

Now I am going to remove all the parts and prepare for the water cool stuff to go in. Wish me luck :D

that's my main gripe the 8 PIN power connector...do OcUK even do such things? cos I do need one...I dont think one came with the PSU when I ordered it but I will check.

And thanks :D much appreciated to know someone is watching :D

lol its ok I have bought it elsewhere now along with a 4870X2 water block...well I thought I might as well since the delivery cost was more than the extender itself lol :D thanks though mate :D

Ok quick photo update.

This doesnt have all the parts yet. Still waiting on the CPU block to arrive.

In this pic you can see the clear tubing (4m), the compression fittings, the rad, the pump/res combo, the coolant (UV blue), UV cathodes and LEDs for the pump/res.

As mentioned before I have now ordered the XSPC 4870X2 water block with a 8 pin extender. These should be coming next week. :D

I'd be very interested to see what the noise is like with that pump/res combo as i've been looking at using one if i start WC'ing.

Yeah me too but I dont mind the noise cos my 4870X2 runs noisy with the fans at 65% :D

You're gonna need more than a 120.2 rad to cool the 4870X2 as well mate. A guy on here has an i7 and X2 running off a 120.3, andd even that doesn't do a great job.

Yeah I know...but I only bought the 4870X2 block cos the delivery charge for the extender was more than the part itself lol...so I dont know if and when I will be using it. :D

Finally it has arrived:

WOOP WOOP :D

I have just fitted the rad. It's at the back of the case attached to the rear fans...pics coming soon. :D

Ok here we go new pics. This time with the rad, cpu block and the pump/res combo with tubings and fittings. How's it looking? :D
