Time to settle the greatest of OCUK GD argument of all time...

Toilet roll was invented in 1891? What did they use before that?

In days of old,
When knights were bold
And paper wasn't invented,
You wiped your **** on
A telegraph pole
And walked away contented.

You can actually buy flushable wet wipes. :D not that I do, but I'm sure I've seen it in a similar thread to this on here before. :p
If you really believe the manufacturer's blurb about them being flushable, then YOU can go down the sewer at 3am and clean them out of the screens... you get wellies, a paper suit, gloves and a gardening fork. No word of a lie.

You don't work for the councils drain division by any chance ? :D

id want a dam sight more than a paper suit.

for one something waterproof :p

Im gonna guess that the water doesn't come above the wellies and the paper suit is just disposable for dirt. If the whole sewer had water in it he would drown :P
We do have waders in the van... but if it's that high, you won't reach the solids in the pipe invert anyway.

If the whole sewer is surcharged, we do actually have scuba people... Now they do cost a bomb for daily rates!

It is waterproof... Just papery, designed for one-use only. It's like those all-in-one dust suits from B&Q, but industrial strength.

It's paper, Jim, but not as we know it... :p

we have them for cleaning fuel tanks, they're great till they tear on a bolt and the first warning sign is the purasolve burning your back :P
