My current rig (OC purchase 2015) has the following:
- Gigabyte Z97X-Gaming 5 Intel Z97 (Socket 1150) DDR3 ATX Motherboard
- Intel Core i5-4690K 3.50GHz (Devil's Canyon) Socket LGA1150 Processor - Retail
- Stage 2: Overclock of CPU - 12.5% Overclock (Processor speed x1.125)
- Team Group Elite Black 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C11 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit
I’d like to install additional memory, but an additional 8GB (2x4GB) seems to be out of stock with little chance of changing. So I would know if there is a suitable alternative for going to 16GB and not losing my 12.5% overclock.
