What about this then! This is digital manipulation at its finest and its all been done with cgi... The curent standard can be so realistic if done well it just makes you wonder if this is an easter egg or whatever they call to generate more dvd sales. I did for second think about buying this film just so I can see it for myself lol.
Exactly. The human mind creates answers according to what it believes and understands already.
If they had such advanced technology they would use handsfree sets so as not to raise suspicion - perhaps even brain implants. Even with today's technology a bluetooth headset would be used as opposed to wandering around with the phone in your hand.

What's more likely?
1) The lady is itching her ear, holding her hat, shielding herself from the bright sun or adjusting a hat pin while muttering through a shopping list she forgot, singing her favourite New Kids On The Block song or babbling because she is old and deranged.
OR
2) She's an elderly time traveller from the future that has managed to blend into the time using contemporary clothing, but forgot about talking on her advanced technology communication device. And by lucky coincidence it was all filmed.

Who knows what it could be? I don't think it could be a radio as the first consumer transistor radio came out in the 50s.
If it was a time traveller, I doubt they'd just be walking down the street talking on a phone. You'd get quite a few strange looks!
