Tiny dogs

Chiuaua's, if my boss's is anything to go by, are very nice dogs :)

A bit bitey though, so you may want to bare that in mind. No where near as bad as a cat/kitten (it being a dog, it has the intelligence to not go far enough to draw blood when playing, whereas cats are outright thick and don't give two ****s /vent - stupid cats).

But as with all dogs, you could train it to not be so bitey with a little bit of discipline :D A male Chiuaua is going to have the ol' lipstick which I find quite horrible... I'd always choose a female dog myself, because of that, and because females are supposed to be more docile - so perhaps its sex is another thing to consider RE kids and them getting humped.

edit; but looking through this thread, there are dogs that are far cuter than Chiuaua's!

serious question, why do u or mrs want one? to often women want them just cuz its the in thing to do, it really winds me up. iv got to ask as other than dog shows or fashion accesories there not desirable animals as family pets, dont wanna sound harsh and I'm sure your not that kinda person, but at least u can appreciate me asking the question.

A pug definitely gets my vote. You can tell how much character they have just by looking at them. I think their amazing! Definitely the next dog that i'm going to get and up to now i've only had boxers.

EDIT: I've also heard of a miniture boxer. I'm not sure what size they are exactly or if they're available over here but they are supposed to be a much smaller version of the boxer which might be worth considering.

My vote is for a Swedish Vallhund, a friend has one and they are awesome. Like a manly toy dog almost, it's very loyal, very smart and thinks its about 4 times as big as it is. Am hoping to get one myself fairly soon as I wouldn't have time for a full size dog just yet.

This breed makes a great companion and can also be used for herding and ratting. They love human attention and are very devoted to their owners. They are a clownish type dog and can be a show-off at times. The Swedish Vallhund is responsive and even-tempered with most people. But they can be wary of strangers and should be properly socialized and trained as a puppy as to avoid over-protective behavior as an adult. They will try to guard your home even if they are 3 sizes too small, so to say, for the job at hand

great dogs- I've looked after one and he was really good fun and very loyal. He was also erm crazy but I think that was down to poor training. This particular dog had a bit of a bad habit of trying to pick fights with massive dogs as well which was a bit unfortunate... They are a lot of fun and very cute. They tend to get a lot of sleep in their eyes tho I seem to recall. I remember several king charles like this.

EDIT actually thinking about it I've looked after 3-4 and they have all been bonkers!

I don't know the breed, but I saw a family with two minature border collies. Both looked just like Lassie, but about 1/4 the size.

Chihuahua's are the smallest dog breed in the world.
