Tiny Tina's Wonderlands ! - Borderlands spin-off

Is BL3 worth it? According to steam its not great lol.
BL2 is the better game in many ways.

1. Better story.
2. More inventive

The story in BL2 adds to and enhances the experience. It elevates the game because Jack is a great villain, and the story was the ribbon that wrapped up the game and made it complete.

The story in BL3 does its damnedest to detract from the experience. It does this by generally being obnoxious and awful. The gameplay stood up on its own merit, but the story tried to drag everything down. If you don't generally care about the story in a video game then this might not be any kind of issue for you.

As for (2)... a great example is the boss arenas. The boss arenas in BL3 are mostly all just simple rectangles, on a single level, where you fight one oversized human enemy and their regular-sized minions. Every time you hope for something different, and every time it's this.

The boss fights in BL2 were much, much more interesting. The first was on a ship's deck buried at an angle, and straight away verticality was a thing. There were boss fights against entire spaceships, lol. It was so much more varied and interesting.

For some reason I get the feeling that there just wasn't as much creativity in BL3. The boss battles stick in my mind as a prime example. They were all so dull.

BL3 was boring in contrast to BL2.

TTW looks awesome though!

Not played the DLC, just looking now.

Can someone tell me the difference between this

Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep: A Wonderlands One-shot Adventure

and this which is in my library

Borderlands 2: Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep

Thanks :)

I think the former is just the standalone version of the latter (which needs the BL2 base game), but I'm open to correction?

Yeh just read some of the reviews which says that tbh...

Not sure but it looks like the stand alone maybe on an updated graphics engine, presumably BL3.

I'd be into grabbing that (it's on sale) if it is on the new or a new engine.

They are the same. The first one is in the form of a standalone game recently released to promo the upcoming Wonderlands, the second is the extensive DLC pack for Borderlands 2 that obviously inspired Wonderlands.

The original DLC has been updated in the standalone version with new equipment such as shields. Plus every time you level up, you get two skill points. I watched a fella showing 10 differences on YouTube.

Ah ok cool thanks.

Ok I'll play the dlc that I have and pick up the new game when it comes out, it's looks great.

BL3 doesn't review that well so will skip that one I think.

BL3 was ok but got bored quickly and 2 was a really hard act to follow. The Tiny Tina DLC in 2 is brilliant and this new one looks like a definite buy.

Noo, don’t skip Borderlands 3. If you ignore the silly dialogue, there are a lot of really cool scenarios and great enhancements to the series. It’s taken the number one spot for me.
