Hello Overclockers im looking to buy the "Titan 350i Gelata" Intel Core i7 3770K @ 4.40GHz Overclocked Ivybridge Quad Core Gaming PC

Any information/feedback would be well appreciated.

What memory brand is used in this build?

I`m also going with the option for a gigabyte 7970..

Are up to date drivers installed on the build? or out the box disc (having WIN7 64bit OS installed with build as well)(same question on the BIOS?)

Im also after a monitor...ermmmm this one Asus VS278Q 1MS Gaming Widescreen LED Monitor - Black
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-046-AS&groupid=17&catid=1120

Is this a good monitor paired with the GFX card?

I gather from another thread that the liquid cooling is just a sealed unit cooler for the CPU? so i will never have to mess with it?

How hot does this system run, wont need any extra cooling? (really dont want any)

With these overclocked systems can you switch between OC`d and not OC`d? is it easy enough to do or a whole bunch of messing? a profile saved somewhere and can be just loaded unloaded?

The case for my build....BitFenix Raider Tower Case - Black
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-014-BX&tool=3
I have read reviews on this case and people warn that a long graphics card on some MB`s can be too long because they hit the corner of a noddle like thing on the drive bays of the case?
So i guess the question is does the positioning of the hd 7970 on the MB have enough room so that it doesnt touch the drive bays...i see a section of the drivebay comes out to fit long cards?...but from reviews people say the GFX card can hit the bays even with the section removed on some set-ups???

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me out here with the machine of my dreams!!!!.

I can't help you out but I'd be interested to hear what memory and mobo they use for this. Looking at the component list (and choosing cheapest for mem & mobo type) its about £100 less than the build price. With the O/C already done for you and the hassle of building taken away then its makes even less sense to me to build my own.

The overclock is saved in the bios so if you want to go to stock settings you would just save and exit with the "default optimized settings" and to go back to the overclock you just load one of the saved settings, it takes just seconds to do. The cooler is sealed and there is no maintenance . Thats all I know about your questions at the moment..

memory = Patriot Viper but is subject to change depending on stock availability. We only use the brands with the best reliability.

Drivers are always the latest available at the time of installation.

You shouldn't ever need to do anything to the cooler. System temp depends on your room temp & ventilation tbh but it's well within tolerances, as you can tell from the cost of the cooler, we don't skimp.

If you want to you an switch between OC & non-OC (not sure why you'd want to) but you could, by saving the OC profile from the BIOS and then resetting it.

I thought your oc's are saved to the bios already in case the customer wants to reset it..? Sorry I think I read the post wrong and it is already in the bios profiles....

Hello all thanks for the replies on this build and the info on the OC switching

I found on another thread that the MB is a Gigabyte Z77-D3H ?

ScottiB Thanks for the info on the memory, what were stocks like last time you looked? lol...im looking at buying the machine on Tuesday.
i was asking about the OC switching on/off because it will run cooler when not OC`d?.....the room the machine will be in has the sun on it at the end of the day and in summer it can get really warm, even late at night its quite hot. I dont want water cooling and trying to keep away from more fans/noise.

Thanks for your input mrrad1951, this is gonna be my dream machine and its a lot of money to me, and there will be no upgrades in any near future!

Yeah saw that in the other thread as well. That mobo only mentions xfire support so does that mean no SLI? If so better to stick an AMD card in.

I would probably ask for a more powerful PSU also as only a few pounds more but future proofs it a bit better.

It's ok for the overclock to be on 24/7. The way it works is it ramps up only when your doing something like playing a game or using photoshop etc. when your surfing the internet or when the computer is idle it goes right down and clocks around 1600mhz and the voltage drops so stays cool. I overclocked mine this way but I'm sure thats the way they do it also its called "offset mode" Ive had my water cooling around 18 months and its no problem , its a sealed unit and easier to clean than a traditional heatsink because there is no dust except around the fans and radiator so you never have to mess around near the cpu at all to clean..;)

Hi P1Fanatic i was after the Gigabyte ATI Radeon HD 7970 Windforce 3X 3072MB in this build, have been looking at monitors too, maybe change the 27" 1920/1080 for a 24" monitor...im not that up on monitors but from what i have read people saying that it looks blocky 27" at 1920/180....also read people saying its not hat bad hmmm

Thanks for the info mrrad1951, Ive never had an OC`d machine before, i know they run hotter and the same machine would probably run hotter in the room it will be in than if it were in a room on the the other side of the house that doesn't catch the sun.

Its the gaming/video/photoshop on a hot summers night that worries me, it does get like an oven sometimes in the room the comp will be in.Maybe im worrying about nothing.
If im gonna get this monster machine from anywhere its gonna be here, I have read a lot on here and the customer care/forum feedback seems great and seems a lot of happy folks.

Tbh if your into gaming and I mean fast FPS like BF3 and MW then I would go for a better spec 120hz 24".

Yeah FPS is important to me thats why i went for a 1ms monitor. I see a couple of BenQ 120hz in the 24" monitor section but not any others?.... how much gain will i get with 120hz? Any monitor you recommend?

I would like a monitor with rich natural colours...i will be watching movies and doing some graphic stuff as well as gaming...im no FPS game PRO...but fps does count to an extent

For the PC or monitor or both? Would be intested to see how you find it as around the spec I would be looking at later this year.

Order for both, i`ll update on how the machine is and monitor.

I have chosen win 7 and just noticed it comes with panda pre-installed....I dont want panda installed ...my order says in warehouse Queue..hmmm

Surely its no issue to just remove Panda when it arrives?

You got it yet? What case did you go for in the end – I like the Corsair HAF?

Did you get any bits changed/upgraded? I am wondering how flexible they are if you want to say upgrade the PSU to a Modular one (Corsair TX etc) and up the RAM to 16gb.

I see the Z77-D3H supports Xfire so would be nice to pick up another GPU when they drop in price.

Would be good to see some pics especially inside.

Cheers
Simon
