Fastest current single card with the most ram..... why is anyone surprised at the cost?
not 100% true the 295x2 is better in a lot of benchmarks. yeah its a dual core but still a single gpu.

Whilst costing 4x as much. You missed the point of comparing cost to cost.
The 295x2 cost over a grand when it was released I paid 1200 for the sapphire clocked version with steel case ... if your comparing launch costs
With a retail at $999.99 exchange rate at 1.47 = £678.28 i understand a import tax but an extra £250 or so on top, id thought it would be a little lower on the asking price. But thats the way it goes, companys have to make money some how i suppose.
It's VAT rather than import tax. VAT on top of £680 is £816. It's still not £900, so some price gouging is going on somewhere. However $999 will also be the US Pre-tax price.
OcUK has from £869.99 !!
A £54 gouge isn't *that* bad!
Better than any competitor and were forcing no one to buy.

think you might want to check one of your mean competitors prices again
That argument wont be used anymore,as the titan X runs at stupid high temperatures.Im guessing its all the vram, the OG titans didnt run this warm, and they used a similar power drawve to see some TriFire/Crossfire 290x 8GB againsts the Titan X.
Yeah yeah counter argement us "OMG they are so hot and use more power"
Well we started it and we give Haribo.
lol i will stay loyal with yous after the way yous handled the whole 970 vram if i decided to buy one of the titan x.
i kind of talked myself out of buying one last night but just watched the jay two cents review on YouTube and he has me wanting one again lol

TitanX is an truly epic card, but for the same money you can buy a pair of 980's then all of a sudden its a very difficult decision.
Titan X really is a 4k gaming product in my view as you will never get stutter from running out of VRAM as right now I do not think there is a single game on the market than can use up the full VRAM buffer maxed out.
So if you have a 4k monitor a Titan X all the way and a pair of them would be amazing for 4k gaming. We've had a few customers today actually buy 4 Titans for themselves, quad Titan SLI, BOOOOOOOOOM.
But a pair of 980's now looks like great value.
