Titanfall 2 - have you seen its multiplatform?

So - further thoughts on the MP:

Pilot sentry guns are way OP! (Grumble grumble)

Lobby system needs tweaking as im finding map rotation quite limited. I seem to be playing the same 2-3 maps over and over.

I think the restrictions on loadouts, particularly for titans, will redce game appeal / longevity. At first i liked the restrictions but now I feel it is making the game feel a bit stale.

Weapon and upgrade perk unlocks are far too grindy. I also do not think there are enough of them. It is clear they have taken design cues from COD's pick 10 but why not include some of the other featured like recoil reduction, fast fire etc etc? I also do not like how fast switch has to be applied to both primary and secondary weapons for it to be properly effective. Dare I say it but I think BLOPS3 is better in terms of loadouts.

The damn menu system is annoying! I keep pushing up 1 too many times and end up highlighting a player in the list at the bottom and opening their profile! Lol :p

There are no real explanations for what all of the badges do that you earn at the end of the game. For example my MGL is G2.6 - what does that mean? I keep levelling it up but from what I can see unlocks stopped a while ago.

I think there should be a shooting range mode where you can try weapons before you 'buy' them. I earned enough creds through grinding to buy a new assault rifle only to discover the basic rifle is better (for me anyway). Oh well.

What isnthe deal with advocate awards? Some days I will get several, others none at all.

Overall i am enjoying this game but I actually think BLOPS3 is more polished and intuitive in some respects. But TF2 map design is a lot better in my opinion.

Pilot Sentries are super annoying. They kill in a heart beat. And if you look at them it says the player's name who planted them so you think they're a player, shoot them and then always die

Got this last night and hopped on multiplayer (heard campaign is great too though) and I thoroughly enjoyed it. They seem to have learned a lot from the first game, more content at launch and more variation on the Titans. Maps are great and haven't had any issues with hit detection. I logged on at 9pm with the intention of getting an hour in before bed.... logged off at 3am -_-

Would agree, but when you use them....they are good lol

Not finding that TBH, what modes are you playing?

I think this is the best thing, new Titans are coming, in the first game, evenyone loaded there Titans the same way, it also meant you knoew what way to fight, with pre fixed Titans, you have an overall "theme" to each one and its abilities, so you have differing Titans faceoffs, instead of always face to face, I'm seeing players now be more careful, backing off, also the battery system is a lot more team play friendly.

I don't find it too grindy, the first one had a problem that everything was unlocked far to easily and to fast, it felt you had done everything in MP far to fast.

Yea, I think this sets off some kind of OCD twitch in my eye when I do this.

Not sure myself, isn't it do to with what unlocks you get for the weapon for its loud outs etc?

I would like that as well, though if you play the single player you get to use nearly all of them, though its not the same as using them in MP. Perhaps this helps with the longevity?

Seeing this thread is wanting me to come up with a plan to some how get my ps4 pro and hope the wife won't notice the difference however she is quite tech savvy so I can't think of one dammit! And I'll feel guilty bah :(

The one you have develops a fault.. you take it/send it back to where you got it (secretly selling it or trading it).. unfortunately they've stopped making the old style PS4 so they gave you the new style i.e. the Pro as a replacement :)

There are more Titans coming? Brilliant! I stuck to Ion early on but I'm really starting to like Scorch. I didn't initially because I was losing a lot of the 1v1 battles with other Titans but I'm using it now in more of a support role, when another friendly Titan is around I'll call it. Really good for attacking pilots I've found as well. Ronin looks like a lot of fun, will probably try it next.

DO you know Scorches Sheld kills up close enemies/ Titans REALLY fast?

Yea, seeing as it the voice of Optimus Prime as BT, they are bringing out a couple of "Prime" Titan models.

Which Optimus Prime?

I googled the voice actor for BT in TF2 and he isn't credited as being Optimus Prime on imdb.......?

I knew it could damage enemies but not as effectively as you're saying, I always forget to use it offensively.

I personally use the sniper Titan. Great movement, fast and agile plus flight core is pretty devestating. The sniper rifle packs a real punch against titans but is pretty tricky against pilots so the old dash punch is deployed! :D

Took me awhile to get used to it, and of course it works better on some levels where you can be cramped up with enemy titans. Out in the open they can pick you off before you are close enough.

Whats the CTF numbers in this? Still want to pick it up as expecting it to go dirt cheap soon but only really interested in CTF - whats the other modes like?

ps3ud0

Northstar is the only one I haven't used yet. I really enjoy playing with them all, think every Titan has it's uses but for me Tone and Legion are a cut above the others. Haven't really figured Ronin out yet, I either go on these ridiculous killing sprees with it or die quickly. I'm still really enjoying this, I'm playing and thinking it's 2am I have to be up at 8 I need to stop.

I'm a little worried about the player base though, I seem to run into the same players a lot. Releasing it between CoD and BF was a mistake I think, the first beta didn't do it any favours either. Hopefully there's some nice deals on it around Black Friday and people decide to give it a shot.
