Hi,
Do you think it would be ok having my sound card close to the graphics card like that ? as there is know where else it can go. ?
surley the onboard Asus P6T Deluxe sound card couldn't be better then the one i have >
Sound Blaster X-Fi Fatal1ty XtremeGamer Pro ?

Cheers :)

Its not covering the intake fan of the card, and I can't imagine it having issues with the heat of the Graphics card since its not in contact with the heatsink etc.

Unless your getting reliability problems I wouldn't worry about it.
As said above just make you've got good airflow in the case, and if your really paranoid get one of those PCI card fans like this;

I would add one of these just for extra cooling, but there are no more pci slots left to add that cooler.
This is the case i have http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-116-LL&tool=3

cheers.

cant u rin the GFX card in the white slot(2nd)? then replace your sound card with a asus xonar d2x much better sound:D in teh mini pci-e slot so they are smile apart:D

No need to replace the sound card, does a great job.

Shall i add these 2 fan at the bottom blowing on the sound card and GFX card ? there will be no hole in the case of course ?

I have 3 x 120mm fans at the front, 1 x 120mm exhaust at the rear.
1 x 120mm exhaust at the top.

Oh balls, it won't work having it in the 2nd slot, as it gets in the way of the onboard connections i'll be using.
so would having them 2 fans at the bottom be any good ?

EDIT: Not sure which the secondary slot is as they appear to be different on the Deluxe rev. 1 and rev. 2.

Re: the fans, could give 'em a try, although I'm not sure the airflow would be very good. Be a man and break out the dremel! Cut some holes!! :D

What can i use to cut the holes out then ?

Dremel or a holesaw. Depends if you want to go to all the effort though. I'd also worry about possibly compromising the structural integrity of the case.

So you think it be wast of time doing it ? or just add the fans with out the holes ? i need to make my mind up. just want them 2 card to be cool

I've got one fitted to my PC-P80B,i opened mine up & turned the fans the other way so they are blowing into the case.

And yes the fans are very quiet.

Do they come as sucking air then ?
Do you have yours blowing onto the card ?
And how far away ? got any pics ;) is yours that colour.. looks nice. :D

It's comes with the fans exhausting hot air out of the case but it seems to work better with the fans sucking air in to the case(it's only a 5 minute job to swap them the other around).I got the silver version as it's matches the cases internals.

I'll get some pictures posted up later this morning.

That be great thanks.. so blowing on the cards would work better :)

I see you have the one up next to mine PC-P60B case :) the case it so nice.
It's built very well :) did you keep the fans that came with the case, or change them. top case :)

P.s. how do you find the case with the dust getting inside ? i know there is some kind of filter at the front, but does it do a good job ?

The only fan i replaced in was the rear exhaust fan which is 120mm,the roof & door fans are the original lian-li 140mm ones.

Got a windowered panel the other day.

I was going to say if anyone knew where i could get 1 from.
Where can i get 1 mate :) ?
How come you changed your rear cooler ?

Did anyone else notice the typo in the link?

No ?

Just finished my build :) need to set up my vista64bit for the first time of using it. plus i got to read on how to set my raid0 up. :)
I wanted a 3rd hardrive for a back up, but the GFX card will get in the way of the power cable.

No Pointless, cos It wont be able to pull air through.

I orderd this now http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CM-003-LL&groupid=701&catid=209&subcat=

I thought having more exhaust (positive pressure) would be better overule no ? as mine will have 3 at the front blowing air in (negative)/
1 at top blowing air out (positive)/ 1 at rear (positive) then that GPU cooler which will be blowing air in negative.
so 6 fans negative to 2 fan positive ?
all are 120mm fans.

I have i got the positive and negative the right way round lol ?
Cheers.
