Okay so myself and two other OCUK members are in work at the moment, we just nipped out for lunch and on the way back in I spotted what I assumed was a dead pigeon outside, however when we looked a bit closer, it's alive, withering around dieing.

Question is, do we put it out of its misery or leave it? It's probably been hit by a car on the main road as its very busy here, but we don't know what to do.

Any thoughts?

That reminds me, we do have a range of BB guns here, gas and electric powered, but that just seems morally wrong...

Smash it's head with a brick, quick and painless if you don't wuss about and do it properly, best put it out of it's misery. Please don't start turning it into a sieve with lame bb gun attempts.

Leave it imo. But if you feel the need to kill it please do it properly and take its head off.

Just whack it around the back of it's head/neck with a stick

You want to kill it not give it a nasty bruise with a toy gun lol

Bear in mind that pigeons are filthy animals, if you touch it with your bare hands or some debris gets on your clothing you could end up catching something nasty.

Actually, pick it up, put it in a white box with lots of bright light. Play some harp music, and when it looks like it thinks it's passed into the afterlife chuck it back into the street. Pwnt.

But seriously, either kill it humanely (not using BB guns), or leave it to snuff it in peace.

I would have killed it on the spot, but seeing as you have to ask then I'd suggest you just leave it. Dont want you to kill it then find yourself sitting fully clothed in the shower later crying your eyes out!

Oh and DONT use the bb guns to shoot it as they're too crappy. If you do decide to kill then just ring its neck.
