To kill or not to kill?

What ? That makes no sense :p 'but close to dying' would have been better :)

Sorry, meant to say withering around dieing :p

As for giving it to a female co-worker, the only female co-worker is the boss' daughter, probably wouldn't put me terribly high up in his books...

Leave it.

this. my mums cat ocasionly caught birds they would apear dead but if you got the cat away from them and left them be they would be gone within the hour.

probably just frozen with fear . i suspect your bird has just stunned itself. if there are no physical injurys leave it be and bury it in a shoe box if it dies.

if there are physical injuries you should take it to the rspca or somewhere.

Stamp on its head, or hit it with a brick, or whatever.
if you do this hope some nosey neighbour doesnt have his video camera our or you will probably end up arrested and sharing a cell with bubba

Wrong, if you ring up the RSPCA about an injured pigeon, they will infact tell you to take a brick to it.

This happened to me a few years ago. It was a lonesome pigeon under a bridge where there are normally loads of them. I think some chavs had thrown a rock at it. It was clearly in a bad way and in pain. It only took me a couple of seconds to make the decision... I stamped on its head. It died instantly and I picked it up with two sticks and chucked it into some bushes. I think I done the right thing and have never felt any guilt about it.

I remember I was helping my mate with a bit of work on his dads farm, we found a pigeon which was obviously half dead and in pain I expect it'd been hit by a car, it kept walking into stuff, couldn't fly, so we shot it with an air pistol in the head, it didn't die after 4 seperate tries so we nicknamed it robo pigeon. :D
Then snapped it's neck, well, you can't leave an animal in pain even if it is hard as nails.
