To report or not to report ?

Drug dealing is the big issue for me. That would be the reason I would call the authorities.

Yeah, it's not great is it. On the flip side I know many people who take drugs safely and recreationally but I guess you can't really use that as any sort of justification.

On the balance of all of these things... I would be very tempted to shop him.

Someone i know claims disability benfits, yet is as fit as an athlete.
Not only that but this person runs a small buisness from their home for computers, pirated games and software etc and i have even witnessed drug dealing by this same person.
I know i sound like a snitch but this person is a huge doosh bag and piece of human garbage.
What would you do ?

If you don't like him, then report it :) But get evidence first, film him and take photos. You could have a laugh and report him to benefit busters or watchdog :p Or if you want to be really bad, report him for making bombs or selling guns, you'll have the armed police force to his door xD

Using and dealing are different things though :p

There is a case for legalising (and taxing) certain recreational drugs, however (and I am loathe to assert being older as wisdom) I have seen many people take drugs safely in recreation in their twenties only to either ruin their lives and (within my own peer group) seen over a dozen people lose their lives directly attributed to drug use.

Those that deal drugs for profit are feeding off the most vulnerable people in society and in my humble opinion should be taken down at every opportunity.

Yes, you are absolutely right.

Sounds like a no brainer to me. It's people like this who can work but don't which have to be subsidised by the taxes of those who can barely afford it themselves.

I'm going to say that if you believe his actions are morally wrong, and you weigh that up against whatever moral logic you may have in shopping a friend to the police, and you feel that one is morally better than the other, then the only consistent thing for you to do is shop him.

I'm sure there is a thought experiment out there that proves that it would be immoral to shop him, but I can't be bothered thinking one up.
