To Stripe or not to Stripe? Hmmm

I was half joking when I posted....
...but there's a definite split depending on age - DOBs of people recommending top stripes - 1985, 1986, 1987 x2, 1988 x 3
People saying no to top stripes: 1972 x 2, 1978 x 2, 1979.....oh ok and a few in the 80s which spoil my point slightly
But still - fair point to say that generally, younger drivers prefer more tarted up cars?
