Congratulations to yourself & the mum to be, it's the most amazing thing that can happen to you. There's no doubt at times it can be very testing but nothing compares to the joy a kid brings.
The only tip I can give you (speaking as a father of three) Is not to take what anyone tells you as gospel. All kids are different, relax, enjoy being a dad, and do you best to show them the difference between right and wrong, If you can do that you're on the right track.
Im pretty sure two ladies would mean it didnt work
Seriously congrats, spoil her rotten, and if she starts lobbing cushions/plates/cups/chairs at you, then its her hormones, same goes for when she does the "I hate you! You've done this to me!" etc etc. Just give her a cuddle and take it like a man. Shes the one whos got to lug the baby round for the next 9 months, plus if she asks you if she looks massive/fat, tell her you think shes gorgeous even if you have to fib.
You've done the hardest part. Take a 18 month holiday and reap the rewards when you get back. Congratulations.
My only other tip as a non-parent is to get in training for the father's day race at school from day 1. Get yourself an Olympic coach, train 5 x a day until the 'big day'. You can't lose.
Congratulations.....enjoy those late morning risers as much as you can been slapped on the head at 6am almost every morning with a sloppy kiss and a 'Dada wake up' it the most effective alarm clock to date
I got 2 girls (2.5yr and 15 month) best moments of my life was seeing them and holding them for the first time
I'd also say enjoy every minute of his/her early life.....they grow up VERY fast
You have 9 months left of living to do and then about an 18 year gap where you have to pretend your a sensible well rounded man, should take you up nicely to your mid life crisis.
