The cable I have is dvi at one end and VGA at the other. Then I plug an adapter in to make it DVI at both ends lol.

I assume the monitor's resolution is only 1920x1080 so you don't need a dual link cable?

OK on the 1920x1080.

I think we've caught up now.
 
Yeah all sorted. Took a screen shot on my gts 250 and basically to get 60fps all was low or off.

This thing eats the game. Average 40fps or more with mostly high/very high.

Still need to work out what I want on and what I don't.

BUT very very happy.

Couldn't have done my pc/GPU without the countless help from forum members :)
 
Have fun mate, my move from athlon 2000+, i was absolutely mind blown when i saw hon and wow in that level of detail.

And im sure in a couple of years my reaction will be the same again.

Can I just ask, why most chose B over A, as I am torn between these myself....I would have gone for A due to the higher clocks, are you basing your decisions on cosmetic appearance etc .. as appearance doesn't concern me (if you knew my wife, you would see my point ... lol) or is there more to it than just a larger figure ? (Back to my wife again...)
Another reason for me thinking A is the fact it. should be 225 ...a saving to be had.

Reasons please if you could...thx.

I had to replace the heatsink on my Asus 6970 DCUII (couldn't be bothered to RMA it) because it was making all sorts of horrid noises/vibrations etc and fan speeds staying on full unless I put pressure on it in the PCI-E slot.

I ended up fitting it with a Zalman cooler and it's been great ever since, that set me back £50 extra though and it wasn't easy finding a heatsink that fits.

Sapphire is a better brand, excellent cooler aswell.

Personally, I would've got the MSI twin frozr card, it's worth the premium price

Well my neighbour had a go on overclocking on my GPU last night.

880mhz core and temps in game at around 65c

But tbh i think i gained like 5fps, i dont even see the point.

LOOKS and COOLING was more important. As i do intend to give crossfire a go. And two of those aqua blue fugly things would have made me cry lol.

I am not a huge pc gamer, so didnt want to spend £200+ on a GPU

I am more than happy :D
